Sorta like not vaping near someone? Aye mate, agree.

How is vaping outdoors the same as obstructing passage?

And yes, courtesy should be shown by everyone. Vapers and non vapers alike.

If the vaping isn't directly bothering you, let it be.
If it is, the vaper should cease without being told to do so.

That's what courteous mature adults with manners would do.

Sadly, most people aren't mature adults, or courteous any longer, and most haven't a clue what manners are.

By making breathing illegal would solve all the problems.

I get that people need to breathe, but please (anyone) present the rational argument for why anyone needs to breathe in public without a filter over their mouth.

We have scientific evidence from recent study that what normal humans exhale is more dangerous than what vaper's exhale. Read as, neither are dangerous to fellow humans. One could, rather easily, claim to be annoyed / offended by anyone that would dare exhale their breath in my face while I am trying to enjoy whatever I'm trying to enjoy in public.

So, as I said earlier on this topic, if park rangers aren't wearing mouth filters to protect them from the more harmful breath of humans, then I would say it is most rational to assume that they couldn't possibly be coming from angle of safety with regards to exhaled vaper.

Good thing the park near me is a state park...though I'm usually out in the middle of the river by the time I whip out my eGo.

I never stated they were the same. They aren't. My points was the manners. The impression I am getting is we will vape wherever we want the hell with everyone else. Maybe my impression is wrong, but a little courtesy goes a long way.

My wife doesn't like the mini clouds I blow. It has nothing to do with any health issues it has to do with the obstruction. My youngest hates the smell of my vape. It's a tobacco vanilla net blend. She also doesn't like the raspberry peach watermelon blend. They never smell the unflavored.

You can't please everyone in this world, but you can make it a better place to live.

Just so you know, I believe it should be up to the owner to decide whether to smoke or vape in an establishment. Outside should be fair game.

On a side note, it is going to be interesting once the drone army starts flying.

Considering one has to do with the basics of living and the other one has nothing to do with living, I pretty much think the discussion ends before it even needs to start. You can't compare breathing to vaping because the premise doesn't exist.

Sure carbon dioxide is dangerous but nitrogen already exists in the air we breathe we just do not replace it.

Lol at that study.

Id be more afraid of being bitten by rattlesnakes in a National Park than some person puffin a mod

did you know that more than 8000 people are bitten each year by rattlesnakes in National Parks....

and to add... The National Park website even has a page to educate people on how to avoid and deal with snake bites...

all they need to do now is make a new page on how to avoid and deal with vape clouds :)

It's the "entitlement" mindset.
Adults with manners live and let live.

And I agree, in a private business, the owner makes the rules...period.
Don't like it? Simple.
Shop somewhere else.

U.S. National Park Service is banning e-cigarettes in areas where regular cigarettes are banned.

But the decision isn't for fire safety.
National Park Service Director Jonathan Jarvis said the point is to “protect employees and park visitors from the health hazards and annoyances associated" with the vapors those devices produce.

This action did not ban them in the entire park. Just the same places as cigs are banned. Concessions, govt vehicles like tour busses, etc. They were placed under the same restrictions as cigarettes. If smoking is banned in the outdoor areas due to fire risk so are vapes. And yes vaping CAN be a fire hazard. Venting batteries ring a bell? Rare yes but possible.
imho the best we can hope for is to be classed with smoking. For a while at least, and at least it is better than a total ban on vaping.

Did you know that National Parks and rangers do not keep records of missing people in parks?
If they did, you would never walk into a park without a firearm.

I'd be more scared of that fact than any snake.

I agree. Still I don't believe vaping is the same as smoking. Classifying vaping as smoking is the punk way out. The gobernment needs to get off their duff and realize this instead of letting aide number 500000 do it after a night at the dc bars while consulting the free willy people on how best to get their photo op for the next 100 grand grant money.
