Does my idea make any sense?

@vapor1960 -

I will give you a "heads up"... cherry flavors (we have all chased that rabbit down the hole... that will be the hardest part of creating this recipe)

Someone posted a newer cherry flavor that sounded good (but I didn't make a note of it) Many just taste like "cough syrup" and cherry might be the hardest fruit flavor to deal with.

I don't understand why you posted the above, (as if it was based on your experiences with various cherry flavorings)...when you also said the following:

This is what I have for cherry flavors (what I would try myself.... sorry, I haven't actually tried them):
(RF) Wild cherry
(INW) Cherries

;)

Also, should I maybe do 80/20 vg/pg, or just pg thinned out with distilled water? (from what I understand pg is what carries the flavor, vg creates more cloud), though I could have that backwards.
This mainly depends on the device and tank you are using, and how well you wick if you do rebuildables. By PG with water you mean mixing pure pg juices?

All over the place
Watch out for cherry flavoring, unless you're a cough-syrup fan.

Ask around for what are the good ones. That, of course, is subjective too.

So true! Pineapple is also very tricky to not have bully the mix into a funky tropical mix.

Just curious, @AttyPops Have you tried Medicine Flower's cherry?

So true, I found that pineapple often overtakes other flavors but I noticed that usually it happens after weeks of steeping. So if I mix pineapple i try to steep for 3-4 days and use withing 2-3 weeks. Which usually isn't a problem as I mix max 120ml at a time, for me 4 days to plow through it

So, PG does not require thinning then?
PG has similar density to water, it's only a notch denser. Water at room temp approx 1.0g/ml, pg 1.04 as far as I remember. IIf you go pure PG you might experience various problems, from sore/dry throat to leaking tanks and flooded coils

The only instance when thinning PG with distilled water would make any sense whatsoever would be to combat the bad reactions to PG- sore and dry throat, mouth and gums etc. For the properties of the juice there's no point
Thinning high VG juices on the other hand works quite well. It improves wicking. However, I've been thinking about it and I suspect that the water within the e-juice might be reacting with the metal in the coil, thus increasing the amount of metal in the vape. Not sure. Maybe someone more advanced in chemistry could share a bit of insight

Since I normally care much, much, more about taste than cloud, I think I will be doing 100% PG then.

And then just commercially rarely by 80/20 mixes for the rare times I want big cloud.
You can solve any leaking issues by adding a bit of VG.

If you are planning to use RTA tanks you will have a very hard time with leaking. I suggest 50/50, enough PG to carry the flavor but dense enough not to flood your tank. I mostly vape 70VG 30PG with 5% distilled H2O and I'm getting a ton of flavor. From my experience what's important is the type of tank you use and of course the quality of the juice
