I use public transit quite a bit and most people think at first that I'm smoking an analog. I've had a lot of people come up to me and ask if I have an extra smoke or for a light. When I explain it's an e-cig, most are very interested and ask me all kinds of questions about it. Here in AZ analogs are around $8 a pack and when I tell them how much cheaper it is, they usually ask where they can get the cheapest kit. I find that most people want to try it out because they're cheaper rather than for health reasons.

Perhaps - but without meat (and cooked meat) we wouldn't be intelligent. (Specifically cooked meat, is the current theory. 25% more nutrition to support larger brains!)
I know it's an old post. Just reading through the thread. This one deserves a BS button. Perhaps having to HUNT led to higher mental development, but not the consumption of meat. That's hogwash.

Then again, a lot of creature we wouldn't consider particularly developed upstairs both hunt and eat meat. Naw, it's total BS. And, the kind of BS the vegetarian in the group was addressing.

It's an old post- let it die. This is not the place for discussions of meat eating.

(I accidentally started that whole digression, by mentioning that vaping in public, sort of like being publicly vegetarian, sometimes causes others to act defensively and make silly comments.)

Some of the responses I got sort of tickled my irony bone, but I managed, until now, to be grown up enough not to comment.

Best,
Ande
