To the best of my knowledge no 401s have a cleaning cycle.

That said I haven't used HG ones so I couldn't say for definite, but my guess is no.

On an automatic battery, when you recharge a battery and put on an atomizer, your second draw activates a cleaning cycle. And yes, this is for genuine Smoore products.

Not sure about manuals.

Genuine Smoore product - on your second drag of a freshly charged battery, you will hear it sizzle as an auto clean cycle takes over, no matter how light your inhale was.

How long does the "cleaning cycle" lasts? My understanding of a cleaning cycle was those of the older models, where there will be a blinking of about 15 seconds while the atty burns. After that, the tastes becomes nasty.

No blinking, maybe 10 seconds. (I've been in front of my computer on a PT all week, so this is from memory.) No change in flavor. To be honest with you, if another member hadn't alerted me, I wouldn't have noticed. I always check cartridges and usually refill on a battery change, so no dry burns.

If it lasts for 10 seconds, i have definitely not experienced it. I am 100% positive that i am using genuine Smoore stuff.

Are you still able to vape when the cleaning cycle happens? If vaping is still possible during the cleaning cycle, then maybe i did not notice the cleaning cycle even when it happens. That might explain a lot and i will pay close attention on the next charge.

Thanks a lot with your patience with me.

More than possible that you are vaping during the majority of the cleaning cycle. I know I was. Your inhale triggers it, let's say your inhale lasts for 6 seconds and your e-cig is at rest for 3 or 4 seconds while you exhale. There's the cleaning cycle right there.

In order to verify that there was a cleaning cycle, I took the lightest of puffs and then held the e-cig next to my ear. I heard the cycle in action. Did not see vapor. However, I could hear it burning very clearly.

You could always pull the cart off after initiating the second inhale to see it in action.

Never experienced this with my autos, although i am not 100% sure they are
Smoore´s. Manuals i have from HG must be Smoore, they do not have this function.

This is so interesting, because I have the Smoore M402's w/ the manual & automatic batteries from AbsoultelyEcigs.com, and I have sometimes noticed a little "sizzling" sound from the cig or I guess the atty. I have also noticed the ads for "auto cleaning" function and wondered what the hell they were?

But if my Smoore mentor Fedor says it doesn't work or exist than I believe him. After all it's a piece of metal that just sits there...LOL!!!;)
