Hi all! I'm new to ECF, but have been vaping for a little more than a year now. E-cigs did help me quit smoking, but there is definitely a learning curve to them. It may take a lot of experimenting with different styles and flavors to find what is best for you, which may require a lot of money spent at first. But it gets much easier when you find that zone that satisfies the urge to smoke. Personally, a LR atty with a drip tip did it for me, but even that took some practice get the timing right.

@op and all the other noobs lurking about:
I'm sure after 56 pages of replies you should have already figured out that, YES vaping can really help. Here is my first message on the forums a few weeks ago:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...mber-ready-give-up-before-i-even-started.html

and as you can tell I was very frustrated and had little hope of quitting. But here I am just a few weeks after happily vaping away, that looking back at my first post is a serious eye opener and should also be to anyone who is reluctant to make the switch.

This forum is so helpful and active that I couldn't even find my own post after just 2 days in coming back here to check up on the replies. This thread motivated me to look it up once again, with my newly found ninja search skills

Matter of fact , I think I need to revisit and thank all those who replied to it ..but that would be a serious bump

ONLY 16 oz of juice?? Man, you're in trouble! :img: Just teasting you. I have a box full of juice and liquids, nic and flavors to make more. Should I count my batteries and chargers? I've had 3 months of "newdom" to go on shopping binges! LOL

welll, it may be closer to 20oz BUT, I have really been trying to keep the reins tightened on the juice buying after watching all the folks go nuts searching for the "perfect" flavor...in fact, other than the juices I got from LibertyFlights with my first order of vape gear, I've bought all my juices from one vendor...BlueMistVaping...I was happy with them and didn't want to try stuff from BWB,KBV.AVE,TV,MrsT and all the other "must try" vendors in case it really was that much better and I just hadda buy their more expensive juices...I really am trying to save money since that is one of the main reasons that drove our to switch to vaping..........

It has now been my positive paranoia... "No e-liquid, batteries dead and not chargeable, no spare cartos at hand"

I've always now kept 3 batteries, 2 cartos and 2 e-liquid bottles at hand at all times... oh and my homemade usb passthrough and usb charger in the car. Let's hope I never run out of petrol and/or my batteries run flat! :)

Don't worry. That'll grow with time. :) I've got 6 eGo batteries (4 650mAh, 2 1000mAh), my ProVari, and have plans to replace the 510 kit I gave away with a Volt or Bloog. Plus I have enough juice now, both purchased and DIY, to last me at least a year. My only concern now is cartos. I've probably got a little over a dozen Fluxomizers left plus two or three unused EMDCCs and a couple packs of Kanger horizontal bottom coils on the way as well, so I'm good for a few months on that front. :)

So, I was paranoid about running out, but I think I'm okay now. :)

I quit smoking after using the ecig for 7 months. Then, after some stress decided to enter, left stage, I picked up smoking again for a month. But since then, it's been nothing but vaping. I think it has a lot to do with me now using a SB, tanks, and quality juice. Now that's I'm doing some quality vaping, I won't be going back to analogs.

I smoked for about 27 years, with my only "break" being during basic training for the Army (started again on graduation to celebrate and had not stopped since).
I got my ego-t on this past Friday and NO smoking since.....(regularly a 1.5-2 ppd smoker).

I will say that it likely depends on the person. For me, I was ALL GEARED UP on this ego-t, and the thought of quitting. I think the desire, the excitement of me "new toy", and definately the support and encouragement from folks here as well as family and friends has helped.
