I was very much a skeptic to the e-cigarettes (smoked 2+ packs a day and smoked for 30+ years, very die hard smoker)......but got my ego on a Tues night, bought a pack of cigarettes Wed morning...used both on Wed, had two cigarettes on Thurs................and that was it the second cigarette on Thurs was pretty nasty compared to the ego, still have the rest of that pack in my lunch kit, but doubt I will ever smoke it. Haven't had a cigarette since.......so yeah it works....I quit without even knowing it lol. And now to discover the flavours and cartomizers and all.....wow why would anyone go back to regular cigarettes.
Now I will admit vaping is more work and prepping than smoking analogs......ordering your stuff, mixing, filling, experimenting. Where as analogs..you buy a pack, open it and smoke.
Just keep trying it, I find it much more pleasurable to vape differnet flavours.
And people are right no withdrawals or anything, doesn't bother me to be around smokers.......but after 30+ years of smoking I can for the first time really smell an analog and ashtrays...........pretty nasty stuff!! analog free for 14 days now, and loving it!!!!!!

Jack, Id say mega 510, or if looks arent an issue to start, then you can go ego. But stick with 510 threaded models. Much easier to get parts/accessories.
+1 on this. If you want a skinny unit like a cig go with the 510. The advantage of the eGo is battery life. The 510 XL is 260mAh (I believe) while with the eGo you can get 650, 900 or even 1000mAh! All 510 series cartos etc will fit both.

I also gave up smoking cigs for 20 years using an Ego-T. They are great. I liked the inbuilt tank system. It made quitting easier as I didn't have to refill constantly.

it is nice reading this whole thread, even though it took me a loooooong time to read.
i hope to achieve what most of you have here. health is paramount. nuff said.

Besides the desire to stop... having a constant supply of juice has kept analogs out of hands. My moment of weekness only came when the juice was out and I was at the mercy of the mailman.

so probably most of the vapers stock up real well? im gonna give vaping another month and then decide if i need to complete the purchase in my cart for 10,000 bottles of sweet sweet juice.

I've quit, after trying the Gum, Patches and quitting Cold Turkey. It was actually too easy. You have to make the decision that you want to quit, it was harder for my girlfriend, but she has been smoke free for Months. When we drink she sometimes gets off the wagon, but haven't since we got Stronger Mods, and got top quality e-liquid @ 24 MG nicotine. I think that makes a big difference. You need strong enough e-cig, and great e-liquid that taste great too you, after that, analog cigs taste like crap! Make a decision that you deserve better and you'll be fine! I can't believe how much energy I have, and that I sleep so much better, plus I don't smell or taste like an Ashtray! lol

Sincerely

Pedro

Hi all! I am new to ECF, as well as vaping. I started vaping about a week ago, and have cut down on analogs (about 6 daily) since I started. I honestly believe that I would have quite completely by now if I had ordered an e-juice that I enjoyed vaping all day. I ordered menthol (although I smoke non menthol analogs) based on supplier recommendations. While I like the menthol, I do not love it, and really do no want to vape it all day. I have ordered some other juice flavors and still waiting for it to be delivered, and I am confidant that I will quite analogs completely because at this point I am only still smoking them to give myself a break from vaping the menthol flavor throughout the day.

Ecigs work and I know I am living proof!!.. will never touch an cigarette again if my life depended on it....we have lots of options for liquid up here Baldr ...so its not difficult at all to have a fully stocked eliquid cabinet..:).. then again we dont have the abundance of options as our southern friends we still have quality vapes here in Canada.

LOL... absolutely true. As mentioned before, part of the challenge is finding a juice that works for you. I've found a couple so far. When I get to the point of 5-7 to rotate through during the week I'll stock up on those. Oh the flavors... so many choices...

It has now been my positive paranoia... "No e-liquid, batteries dead and not chargeable, no spare cartos at hand"

I've always now kept 3 batteries, 2 cartos and 2 e-liquid bottles at hand at all times... oh and my homemade usb passthrough and usb charger in the car. Let's hope I never run out of petrol and/or my batteries run flat! :)
