I went smoke free the day I picked up my ..cough..cough...mall kit...cough..cough. Unfortunately I did not get enough juice to bring back to Belize with me and had to switch back yesterday. I can hardly stand them anymore and can't wait for the new supplies to arrive. Also looking forward to something other than my mall kit. But hey it got me to quit and I'd still be using it if I had some juice. And that was using 8mg juice after smoking 1.5 PAD for 27+ years.. Where's my new 510's and 16 mg juice?????

Like others my fiance (wife 1 month form today :hubba:) smokes 2 PAD and it doesn't bother be a bit other than for her own health I want her to switch as well. All in good time I hope but I'm certainly not going to add any pressure to the wedding planning process.

Awesome, bud, take it one day at a time :headbang: a 'mall kit' worked for me too (smoke51 trio lol), and was the only one i had ever seen at the time...just recently picked up a roughstack and wanting one of the maxi versions now (still enjoying the vaping experience)...

and congrats on your engagement too :toast:

My husband and I were smokers for 25 years. I smoked about 2 packs of 100's a day and he smoked about 1 1/2 packs of 100's per day. Along with the enormous health risks we were spending at least $500 per month on cigarettes. That's a car payment! We both decided to try ecigs and purchased 2 full kits along with extra cartomizers so we wouldn't run out. My husband quit Friday afternoon when we received the kit and smoked a total of 3 cigarettes over the next three days and then quit. I quit smoking Saturday morning and have not picked up a cigarette since then. We are analog cigarette free for four months now and we are loving it! Our bodies did have different reactions to the detoxing from the chemicals in analogs. I had a very dry mouth and throat and terrible nasea for about two weeks and he had THE worst gas imaginable for two days.

We have since passed on our old equipment to people, purchased a kit for my sister and shared juice and Cartos with people. We have helped 9 people quit or cut back on analogs! I think that it is so miraculously easy and painless to quit you find that you just want to preach it to everyone! There's just no reason to smoke analogs anymore!

Good luck to you and remember to use this forum for all your questions. The members are so friendly and helpful and they want to help you have the best and easiest ecig experience possible.

Thanks....that's good to know....you're one of the honest vapers that have admitted that it's not easy to start vaping.
Did you get dizziness as well?

I'm vaping a little bit ...for 2 weeks now. Still smoking cigarettes though.

The dry throat and mouth are very common as vaping dries you out drinking more water will help that.

Figured I'd jump on the bandwagon with my two cents: Absolutely yes! But it also depends on the quality of the device and the juice and/or prefilled cartomizers or whatever you use. I am VERY happy with what I have now, but it took a little while to find the "it" thing for me, and I'm still exploring the options . . . but it's fun to explore and try this or that :) I still, on occasion, have had a "real" cigarette here or there (but only because I ran out of my stuff and all that was left was my fiance's which isn't to my liking and I was waiting for my next order to arrive in the mail, gotta start stocking up more now that I've found what I like), and I'm getting it now, what I've read other people say about them--they taste like a dirty ashtray. They do the job, delivering my nicotine fix, but it's like the difference between the really cheap, crappy beer (I'm a beer drinker, LOL) and the good stuff, which is Budweiser for me. So, for me, vaping is like drinking a nice, crisp and cold Bud at the end of a long, hard day :) It's just such a cleaner feeling, vaping vs. smoking, and so much more flavorful--pick a flavor, any flavor, cause there are practically thousands, LOL. I have heard a couple people at work here and there when I talk about electronic cigarettes (and I talk about them a lot) say they tried them and didn't like them, but it always seems to be the cheap, junk brands that sell in gas stations that they tried and didn't like. You really have to do the research and find the best stuff if you're going to kick the bad habit for the good, in my opinion.

Similar story here. We've passed on a battery and cartos to a friend; I've purchased equipment for my brother to get him off analogs (he has an electronic cigarette, but low quality, and I want to set him up with the good stuff because I know he'll like it a whole lot more than what he has); and everyone who comes through our door ends up a convert after trying our e-cigs. There will come a day when no one smokes analogs anymore, just like audio and video cassettes are a thing of the past, and everyone who smokes will smoke the vapor. Viva La Revolution!

YES, ABSOLUTELY!!
I smoked cigarettes for 32 years. Virginia Slim Light 120's, about 20 to 25 cigarettes a day (more on the weekends when not at work).
My kids NEVER thought I'd quit. To be brutally honest, I never tried to quit, because I didn't think I could go cold turkey. The hand to mouth thing was my downfall, I couldn't imagine not being able to sit back, relax, and take a nice long drag off a cigarette - the thought of not being able to do that frankly kept me from EVER trying to quit.
So when I was ready to let my new car go back, because we couldn't afford the payments any longer, my husband looked at me like I was insane, and said, let's quit smoking.
Once I made up my mind to try the e cig (after about a week of research into them, both video and internet reviews were extremely helpful in my finding a brand I thought I would like), I ordered 2 batteries and 10 cartomizers (cartridges with the atomizer built in). As I was smoking Light cigarettes, I went with a Medium/11mg nicotine level
I placed my order on Friday, July 1st.
I got my e cig package on Tuesday, July 5th and haven't smoked a "regular" cigarette since.
I haven't even thought about regular cigarettes since to be honest. I got a 5 pack of tobacco flavor, and a 5 pack of "make my own variety pack". The flavored are my favorite, I don't think I'll order the tobacco at all next time!
I have discovered that I no longer crave a cigarette first thing in the morning. I can wait until I have the coffee brewing to sit at the table and enjoy a few hits of my e cig.
It will be easy for me to remember when I quit smoking - because I had my own INDEPENDENCE DAY!!

I don't really see myself vaping in ten years, but for now, it is awesome.

I've read this kind of thing before, and it's admirable. And you'll save a LOT of money, because you won't be buying ANYTHING related to nicotine :) But, yeah, I'm seeing myself in ten years happily enjoying the vaping. If you get off the nicotine altogether, that's great. Wish I had never started, but . . . yeah, I did go over to the dark side . . . and . . . I like it ;) I just don't like the idea of dying early. I have kids, and I want to live a good number of years to see my boys grow into good, happy men. On the other side, I needs my nicotine. For me. I know it's selfish, but I am not a saint. Far from it. I'd give my heart and my soul and every other possession I have for my kids, but my sanity . . . uh . . . um, uh . . . LOL :) I remember this AWESOME movie, Dead Again, where Robin Williams says to Kenneth Branagh something like, "You're either a smoker, or you're not." I've been thinking about that for a long time, and I've come to the conclusion that I'm a smoker. I'm just happy as cake and ice cream and balloons and candybars that I can be a smoker now and not worry about dying prematurely :)

Vaping makes smoking seem stupid after a short period of time. Once you find that you can get the same satisfaction, from something much better.... it makes you reconsider your smoking in the first place.

Best comment I've seen ALL DAY!

BTW... Good luck on quitting "analogs" My personal problem is not firing 1 up when I have a few drinks. Other then that Ecigs are 100% amazing. I'm new to this too but it is possible! I'm just trying to find the right combo for my personal likings and I don't think I'll ever smoke again!

Yes yes yeesssssssssssssssssssssssss it does help you quit. Just to re-interate....YES!!!!

LOL, pick up a good quoality PV and you will be surprised at how amazing this little invention is. To me, its a god send. Plus can you go to a gas station and say, "Yeah, lemme get a pack of Marboro Watermelon Explosion in my Mouf"....no i dont think so...with vaping you can ; ).

EDIT: YES IT HELPS YOU QUIT! My best friend still smokes analog and i noticed that he smells like a dockeys .... When the ladies give me hugs/kisses, they now say i smell like whatever flavor iv been vaping. I dont know about you, but rather smell like root beer, watermelon, apple, etc rather than a donkeys ....

Yeah my RIVA was delivered while I was at work. Took my lunch break and picked it up charged it at work and haven't smoked since. I even have a "in case of emergency" cig n lighter in my ride. I should probably throw it away because it's about 2 months old.

dont throw it away...mod it...or remember...lighters are good for more than just cigs...Candles BBQ......

and now back to our regularly scheduled program...

YES it does...Prroof...look at me or one of the millions of others on this forum...

It helps but imho it still takes a lot of drive to quit. It isn't exactly the same and that can make it tough. I can't speak for higher nic level then 12 or so but it doesn't give the same feeling or taste. I also tried to stay away from smokers like the plague for about a month. Not meaning I didn't walk past smokers. But I didn't visit my smoker friends that smoke inside. I stopped letting people smoke in my vehicles.

Good luck and as always feel free to post for questions or support.
