186 but who's counting :) Happy a veteran suggested checking out the classified section on ECF to trade and sell juices that don't fit me. I sell and tradenoften with great experiences. Most recent purchase was a 30ml bottle of a favorite at a deep discount.

Ya mean you dont have 127 little 5ml mistakes?

Just thought I would add my "yes" to this thread. 35 years of 1.5 packs/day, including smoking through colds, sore throats, flu, etc. And I haven't had a single cigarette since my first kit showed up almost 6 months ago.

And even though I spent way too much - on two different starter kits - I have saved a bundle. ($7.50/pack here in DC.)

30 a day man for thirty years. Tried all the usual nicotine replacement therapy crap, none of it worked of course.
Started vapin last july and have not had an analog since. I still have an half full pack of camels in my truck somewhere so they have been readily available to me every day. Never reached for them nor had any desire to....... I much prefer to vape! Ain't that great?

It will take some money, time and experimentation with the different pv's, juices and method to find what works best for you but stick with it,could save your life. I know it did mine and it's fun too!

Good luck.

I still smoke a few cigarettes a day, but I've only been at this a couple of weeks, and I can see myself not smoking at all soon. The miraculous thing is that I used to smoke 1-2 packs per day, and instantly dropped down to 4 or so. Without even missing the smoking.

As for cost, I haven't broken even yet on smokes alone. However, since starting vaping, I've been smoking those few cigarettes outside and am clearing my house out of the smokey smell. Which means I won't constantly be shelling out huge dollars for air fresheners, Febreeze, rug cleaners, and other cleaning products anymore. So I'll be counting that as a cost savings, too.

Yes ~ But three years later, I still haven't been able to give up vaping. Vaping is, of course, much better but it's still trading one addiction for another. The WAY lesser of two evils so to speak.

In my opinion it is the same addiction. An addiction to nicotine. All you did is change the nicotine delivery system to a much healthier alternative.

Nicotine isn't all that bad for you

I was a pack/pack and a half a day smoker ($10.50 a pack) and I quit the day I got my eGo and the best part was that I had absolutely no intention of quitting - I just didn't feel like smoking analog cigarettes anymore. The first month was crazy expensive for me though, buying several different batteries, atomizers, juices, then I moved up to Reo mods so that meant more batteries, more atomizers. All in all I spent a bit over $1k in a month - but now that I know what works I'll be selling a whole bunch of stuff to try and recoup some of that money and if all goes well I won't ever have to spend money on anything else other than atomizers and juice.

I got my Janty Stick on Sept 9, 2009 and haven't had analog since. I've tried a couple of times but can't stand them anymore, they gag me real bad. I started off with RY4 in 24mg strength and that satisfied the nic craving but there were some withdrawl systems from some of the other 3900 chemicals in analogs. They weren't that bad and in two weeks I was over those too.

Sure. But so can lozenges though vaping is a lot more enjoyable, satisfying and thus effective. But despite what you seem to see regularly on this forum not everyone quits on Day 1 for a multitude of reasons. I still smoke, just less and less as I enjoy vaping more and more. There's the huge learning curve for starters but even though I'm past that sometimes still-esp first thing in the morning and after meals-I just want a smoke.

Addiction, like the people it afflicts, is complicated and "one size" is not gonna fit all.

Absolutely it can help you quit - IF YOU WANT TO. I smoked for about 40 years, with a few quit periods in there. I have been smokefree for about 3 1/2 months and there are days when I really want an analog - like when my husband smokes, when my juice or PV aren't satisfying. Quitting requires patience and determination.

when I talk about electronic cigarettes (and I talk about them a lot) say they tried them and didn't like them, but it always seems to be the cheap, junk brands that sell in gas stations that they tried and didn't like. You really have to do the research and find the best stuff if you're going to kick the bad habit for the good, in my opinion.
It's such a bad situation that there are so much junkie ecigs out there. I started off on an un-genuine Joye eGo and it made me sick and I was going to give up there and then until someone on this forum helped me get started again. I still have not got any satisfaction with my second Genuine Joye Ego kit......so I am still smoking cigarettes.

Yeah thats right! It will realy help you but you must want it....e-cigs are not miracles but they really helped me get over my cigarette cravings

Actually, you don't always have to want to quit smoking. Once I found a system that produced bigger clouds than my smoker friends' and found some flavors I liked, after just a few days of only smoking occasionally my senses of smell and taste improved and I found that I really didn't like smoking nearly as much as I liked vaping any flavor I want whenever or wherever I want without spending $5+/day to smell like an ashtray.

If you can't beat the "habit" of smoking, beat the system instead.
