Check out jazzcartopipe.com. Some good reviews of that E-pipe -- Grimm Green seems to love it, and it's got a great, classy pipe design and finish to it. Even comes with a little stand. :)

I took a look at those and showed them to him. He loves the look! I wonder if he could take the p-lip mouthpiece that he's used to and carto it? Something to look into! :)

Does it help you quit smoking? Yes, if you want it to and stick with it.

Does it save money? Yes, if you get the hardware you want/need at the beginning and don't spend months buying one thing after another, trying to find something that's going to work for you in all situations. And if you don't give up your addiction to cigs by becoming addicted to buying The Latest Best Ultimate PV that will always be coming out.

Vaping is not smoking, and you'll probably have some withdrawal symptoms, because of all those other things in cigarettes that aren't in juice. You can power your way through it, or you can give in and light up. And you can always chase the latest thing - there's always going to be a latest thing, with new features, more power, longer power, better looks. Start chasing that and you'll easily spend more with vaping than you ever dreamed with smoking.

Best answer ever! I've noticed the withdrawal symptoms and powered through some but caved on others. I'm glad to know that this is normal and it isn't me. With this new knowledge, I'm going to be powering through from now on! Thank you for the great post!!

With a Dremel and a few accessories, anything is possible. :D I just like the look of the Jazz myself; my late paternal grandfather always smoked a pipe much like those.

Glad it helped. I found that if I chain-vaped through a craving, I'd hit the wall with a ringing in my ears and my stomach a little queazy (signs of a nicotine overdose) and the craving would be gone for a long time. They got milder and spread out more, and finally went away completely after a couple of weeks. It took several months before I got to the point that I didn't occasionally think about lighting up a regular cigarette - that probably has more to do with my personal situation (I'm getting divorced) than it does with physical addiction. For 30 years lighting up a cigarette was my way of handling stress. When the stress builds up, old habits kick in. These days I just kick the volts up a little and drop in some higher nic juice and puff my way through it.

Again, I'm glad to know it's not just me :) I've tried to quit several times before using the usual methods and they all failed for one reason or another.

The patch -- The nic I was getting in my analog was lower than the lowest patch dose and caused me to climb the walls.
The gum -- TMJ made it seem like chewing a rock
The inhaler -- Too harsh and caused throat burn
The pill -- Did this twice, it did work but caused a bleeding ulcer.

So it's good to know the cravings are normal and will eventually subside.

It helps if you don't remember sigs fondly and remember was a disgusting PITA they are. There is something to be said for no stink, no yellow teeth, yellow fingers, yellow walls..... Just think! You're going to be treated like a regular person! No one waves the air when you walk by or acts like you stepped in dog s*it.

I first started vaping about a year and a half ago, went from 2 pad to about 3 cigs a day for about a week. Then I quit completely. That lasted about 10 months. I just got out the old Tornado last week, got some LR tank attys and haven't had a cig since. This time I'm done smoking for good. Even went from strictly using 36mg nic to 18mg and working on dropping that lower. I've already got my sense of smell back, I've missed it. :toast:

From all those I know who vape it seemed like it varied with each person. In my case it substituted cigs but when one was available I smoked it instead of vaping... Some of my other friends cut of smoking analog entirely and switching to vaping with no transition. In my case one day I just went cold turkey on everything. Most people I know who switched to vaping still vape and have no plans to give that up....

I think if you want to quit entirely it's much easier if you have been vaping. I never really intended to quit smoking when I started vaping but I eventually liked vaping better and just stopped smoking. I haven't decreased my nic level at all. Last weekend I was out all day and forgot my pv. I was with a bunch of smokers too and it didn't bother me at all. I definitely didn't want to smoke. When I got home I vaped but it didn't really bother me. This makes me think we aren't getting as much nic as we seem to think we are.

When I was smoking, no way would that have happened.

Either that or nicotine by itself is not nearly as addictive as they want us to think it is.

Nicotine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Technically, nicotine is not significantly addictive, as nicotine administered alone does not produce significant reinforcing properties. However, after coadministration with an MAOI, such as those found in tobacco, nicotine produces significant behavioral sensitization, a measure of addiction potential.

Tobacco smoke contains the monoamine oxidase inhibitors harman, norharman, anabasine, anatabine, and nornicotine. These compounds significantly decrease MAO activity in smokers. MAO enzymes break down monoaminergic neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. It is thought that the powerful interaction between the MAOI's and the nicotine is responsible for most of the addictive properties of tobacco smoking.

Wow, you're brave! lol My juice is 18mg so who knows.

I wanted to sample the ejuice testers at a vape shop. The white chocolate was nice, but I shouldn't have taken long deep drags, lol. I was already chain vaping 12mg all day, so I probably went over my nic limit with the 24mg. Drank a half liter of cold sweet tea to help me cool down. Haha!

I smoked for 28 years, at least a pack a day. I got a volcano inferno 7 months ago and have not had a cigarette since the day I got it! So IMHO they help for sure if you find the one that works best for you! I started with a Blu, but didn't like it. But then I discovered the Inferno and took a chance on it and am glad I did. I also introduced it to my GF and another friend, they have both quit as well.
