My husband thought it was silly when I first wanted to get a pv. He has come around though and now takes a kit to work with him every day. He buys cigs, I buy all the equipment and juice. Hopefully one day we'll get to where no one buys cigs because we don't want them. It took a long time for him to admit any interest. Never reads the forums and not because he's not online. For him, it's not a hobby, it's a means to an end. I didn't nag. I just let it work for me as much as possible and got him set up with supplies. We enjoy vaping together and kissing is definitely much more fun. Best of luck Jo, and try not to worry. Let things play out. Where you fear you will end up as a couple may be completely different from what actually happens.

My wife still smokes, I guess she is one of those people for whom e-cigs do not work. In my opinion she tried too hard, and I did everything for her (I doubt she read a single post here at ECF). It doesn't bother me in the least, other than my concern for her. If you're worried your boyfriend's smoking will make it harder for you to quit, don't bother. Heck, smoke one one with him if you feel like it. Hopefully, in a few weeks or months, you won't be able to stand the taste of them, nor will you have any desire to smoke one. I don't even notice when someone smokes around me, until I get a whiff of that nasty smell. I'm not a Nazi about it, I just move away from the smoke. Last time I tried to smoke one, I couldn't even fill my mouth with that awful stuff, let alone inhale it. It tasted like dry, burning garbage from a dumpster. You see, by not "trying" to quit, I did better than just turn into an "ex-smoker" that will want a smoke all the time. I became a NON-smoker. When I see people smoke I don't jones for a cigarette. It barely registers at all.

I just started vaping about a month ago and when i started i was still smokin and vaping but came to realize i craved the PV more and more so after about a week i said goodbye to smokes and havent looked back. my girlfriend smokes and we live together. both been smoking about 15 years and in the last week or so she noticed this e cig was really working for me. i wasnt agitated or tryin to bum smokes off her, i was happy with my new found nicotine delivery device. i would sit with her on the porch when she went out for a smoke and i would vape and she would smoke, and she can still smoke in my truck, again she smokes, i vape. so as my vaporbomb orders came in (ive been sampling alot) she got to look at the flavors and i said you love coffee, take a few puffs of this. and some other flavors, etc. and she likes it. so i then said next time youre about to step outside for a cig tell me and i want to see if you can puff my e cig as much as you need to until the craving goes away and if it doesnt do anything then by all means go smoke. so she did and it worked. and little by little shes been askin to take a few puffs of my eGo. now shes tellin me shes craving my e cig cause it tastes better. just like what happened to me. so now i got a couple manual 808s comin for her this week. also what may help is i explained that i didnt quit smoking cause QUITTING SUCKS, i merely changed the way i smoke basically, kind of like quitting cigarettes and picking up cigars or a pipe or skoal and thinking of it like that makes the fears of quitting smoking start to go away.
