I didn't like cats until I was married. The cat we have now is awesome, acts like a dog. We named him Luke Skywalker, since he talks (whines) so much-

I rescued him from a hoarder who was losing the house.

Peanut was a CL rescue. I HATED small dogs until I met her. She has totally changed my perspective. She is the most loving little thing-

Meow meow! Cat lover here!:D I love ALL animals, but cats are my favorite. I like their independence. I work long hours and wouldn't have the time to care properly for a dog. I now have 5 indoor only cats, all rescues. My Bobo Magee, found as a baby at work, has only 3 legs and her younger sis (an unweaned baby) Lucky was found on the railroad tracks almost dead. Bottle fed and took her to work with me for three days till she was better. I have a fixed female feral (to all but me anyway) that lives here at work. She's been around for over 10 years here at the refinery. Damn good luck as an outdoor cats life span is about 3 years so I hear. Now I'm feeding and trying to get fixed about 8 cats and kittens that are hanging around my apt. because of idiot owners that don't get theirs fixed and just let them roam. Oh and I just love all the pictures of everyones babies. Animals rule!!!!

If you don't like pets don't come to our house! Our 105 pound rottie/dobie mix thinks she's a lap dog and our rottie is a hug-...... When we come home she has to have 3 hugs before she will go out. Trust me...she counts! We've had company come and they can't figure out why she plants her ... with her back to them and looks back at them until I explain that she is waiting for her hugs!:p

I'm a dog person. I grew up around 3 cats, siamese. They're cute but the meowing and noises they'd make through the night used to drive me insane. Then we got a dog, it was a yellow lab, golden retriever mix. Such a great dog, used to dive for rocks. Unfortunately it passed away at 8 or 9 years old of a cancerous tumor. Then my parents got a yellow lab. It's their "genetic mess" they call it. He's cute as hell but has tiny ears for a lab, can't open his mouth wide enough to catch a ball, and his hip went bad and had surgery on it. I live on my own and got a black lab when she was 5 from a person i worked with who was moving and couldn't bring pets so I took this dog because she was the sweetest dog I've ever met

Some of these pictures are thumbnails that you need to click on to see the larger image. I didn't want to post huge images on the forum.

Say hello to my 10 year old black lab JASMINE! haha

Jasmine used to play with this fox... they'd chase eachother back and forth no violence ever came with it but I didn't let them play too often in fear of rabbies or violence.

I also owned an iguana for quite a while but had to give it to a pet shop due to not being able to afford to keep it anymore. Buying fresh veggies for it was getting to be quite expensive after a while

No it's not being violent, it's yawning

I miss the iguana, some day when I have a room to dedicate to one I will own one again. I always suggest to people to DO A LOT OF RESEARCH before buying one. They take a lot to take care of. You can't put them in a fish tank and expect them to survive. Dry food is extremely bad for them, and so are the few veggies the pet shops usually give them (example, corn). I feel bad for most iguanas because of the way your average person treats them, it's horrible.

Hey Rhetoric...we used to have an Iguana named Fred! He was so cool. My husband used to open his cage up with lettuce in his hand and he would launch himself at him. He loved lettuce and carrots. Unfortunately he passed away. Not sure what from but I sure miss him. He loved laying on the back of the couch in the sun and he loved having his 'ears' rubbed!:):):)

I like dogs, but I prefer cats for their independence. Plus, when I was growing up my family used to train guide dog puppies and I always admired the way our cat put a succession of excitable labrador/retriever puppies in their place ;)

Not mine, but wow:

We had a farm cat here, A huge black and white tom. His kittens would be solid whilte except for a jet black tail that had a white tip. one of them had different color eyes like that cat. Prettiest cat I've ever seen.

I often wish I would have caught and tamed that tom and started a breed...
