LOL Rising, he is always doing that and it's too cute. What is not so cute is that he gets off my lap in the same way.. front legs first, back legs straight out, and he slowly slides off my lap, with his "junk" smooshing it's path all the way down my leg. I'm used to it, but it grosses my mom out!
I've got two cats and a dog, but I'm definitely more of a cat person. I've also got two birds (down from three), and did have a hedgehog for a while.
Boyfriend says no more dogs, and no more pets at all- at least until the dog goes. But I reaaallly want a sphinx. (He's right though, we have enough!)

Cats all the way.
They're low maintenance. They don't need attention. They bury their **** in the dirt. They do whatever they want. They don't need your food. They show up at their convenience. If you go out of town, you just put them out the backdoor and they show up when you get back.
Most dogs, even the smart ones, would die without constant upkeep. That's way too much responsibility for me. Dogs are loud. Dogs are messy. Dogs need baths. Dogs need their nails clipped. Dogs need to be trained.
I guess this is one of those type A people vs. type B people things.
I'm a cat person. I guess I'm lazy and I don't need to control things. I don't hate dogs, I just don't want to own one.

and my cat and i are kindered spirits i think. he acts exactly like i would if i was a cat (and i could basically do whatever i wanted and no one could get mad at me, because "i'm just a cat" afterall); like biting for no reason except for fun, grabbing peoples feet from under the bed and scaring you, scratching your legs when you were JUST about to fall asleep... and then acting sweeter than honey and being so loveable.
my crazy little cat, nobody understands him but his mommy...

When i was little I was a cat person, than I became really allergic to them..now Im a dog person, have to min poodles..Im allergic to them too but not as bad as cats...
