David is the man. I toyed with the idea of having a ton of different mods (my collection has grown to 7 authentic mods) but I'm seriously considering selling everything I have for another dominus then focus on different attys. His customer service might be the best I've dealt with in ANY industry.

That said, the logo-less tube looks sick. I like the business but of course that just my opinion. Can't wait for a hybrid top cap.. thats gonna take the look to another level imo.

Dominus lords upgrade and hybrid kit attached. New rba by Atmistique arrived today as well...

Absolutely gorgeous :)

I've been considering a new side fire mod, and of the ones I've looked at I find myself leaning more and more toward the Dominus, A brushed 18650 with a hybrid adapter and a Squape Reloaded should be ideal for what I do.

You will not be disappointed. If you are thinking about it though, I would sign up for the waiting list on that hybrid adapter. Those things are gonna sell fast.

And on a side note, I'm not sure there is another mod maker out there like David from Dominus. He includes his customers in the creative process and is always asking for feedback. I'm saving up for a copper dom.

Well, I made up my mind, and with David's assistance dropped the coin for a complete brushed Dominus Lords set, with hybrid adapter and a 18650 tube without the main body engraving. I'm thinking it's going to become the home for my Squape Reloaded, which is the best cloud / flavor atty I currently have.

Out of curiosity, what tanks are people running on their Dominus (I'm not much of a dripper - I have a Reo with Odin for when dripping tempts me)?

Make sure you post some pics when you get it, I don't think you'll be disappointed with it. With the Lord upgrade it's a great mod, also David is really helpful, when I asked for the Hilt without the large engraving down the side he was more than happy to help.

I generally run it with a polished Russian91% in either 18650 Hilt mode or in one of the smaller sizes, it really depends on how much battery life I need.

Next purchase for me will be the hybrid adapter and maybe a copper Hilt.......who knows, I'm excited to see his dripper/tank creation that's in the works. I suggested he add a floating pin to the topcap, then the mod will be adjustment free, hopefully that will be something he makes happen.

I think the floating pin may cause issues for people using cartomizers and the likes - Too much pressure from the pin will be placed on the bottom of the 510 connector. Just a thought. Back in the day with the ggts's, when you had the device screwed down too much it would screw up a lot of the 510 atomizers people were using (before we had rba's). It happened to two of mine.

The 510 pin goes through the cap, but it's solid. The only way any e-liquid could get onto the battery is if it seeped in between the pin and its threads, and that's looks too precise a fit to be an issue:

How did I get those pictures? Well, vapemail found me today :)

Vapemail also brought me a hybrid adaptor. Works great, but when you use it,
  1. make sure your atty is on your adapter with the 510 connector protruding through it before doing anything with your battery,
  2. and never remove the atty while the battery is in the mod
If you don't follow the two guidelines above you will risk a short when the absence of the atty's 510 pin allows the top of the battery to rise, touch the adapter directly, and electrically connect to the body. If that occurs:

I'm going to keep using the normal 510 top until I decide what atty belongs semi-permanently on my Dominus.

So far, the Dominus exceeds my expectations; I LOVE the tactile feel and click of the switch. I am highly pleased with my purchase, and would not hesitate to recommend David and his mod to any vaper. - Michael

I just ordered Version 1 from VapeRev for 90 bucks and free shipping. I already contacted David and I'll order the LE upgrade as soon as I actually receive the mod. I've wanted this for awhile and couldn't resist. I also like that Stealth top cap, anyone here have one of those?

Wow i cannot believe they are letting them go for so cheap. Nice score there mate. Even without the upgrade bits the Dominus is brilliant. Plus you know there is heaps of support and future products with the modder.

I hear you on the CS. David and I exchanged a few emails yesterday and he was so helpful and didn't make me feel like I was taking up his time like many have in the past. He did say not to go under .08 until I get the upgrade or I'll get a hot button. I have no problem with that. I'll build something in that range when I get it and see if I want to go lower.

Thanks for your response, I hope to learn more about the mod on this thread.

Yeah i have remained in contact with him via FB - just for updates and prototypes etc. Great things are ahead. As for the subohm hot button thing - i never had experienced it but i also never go below .9 so that will be why. As the for the click Grrrr mentioned - yes the lords upgrade gives you a click switch (but you will find this out) it really changes the feel and look of the mod. I am liking the copper and the steel together.

The only part of the switch you retain for the Lord upgrade is the lock ring which you already have with the v1 switch. If you have a polished one and prefer brushed then that is the only reason to grab it if you intend to do the Lord upgrade which I would strongly advise you do.
