So I had an efest 18350 battery in my pocket, just to have an extra battery on me. Well, I also ha change in my pocket. All of a sudden I feel my leg getting really REALLY hot, so I dug through my pocket and threw the battery across the rooms because it was SO got and I was afraid it was going to blow up on me. I guess the coins created and completed a circuit with the battery inside my pocket! Scary stuff man. So, if you're gonna carry batteries in your pocket make sure there's no change, or metal for that matter, that can touch the battery.

Happy and safe vaping!

Anyone had an issue carrying them in EGO cases? I havent done so yet but i was thinking about it for double shifts.

Lots of people do this

Yeah, I've got a few. I was just in a hurry and grabbed a battery and threw it in my pocket. Not thinking coins could create a circuit!!

Unfortunately this is not so uncommon Im glad it was not serious. I like the soft case with the carabiner then I can hook it on my belt loop or pocket out side If I like. Just make it a habit and youll do it with out thinking.

Today I saw a thread with 18650's venting in an eyeglasses type case. They might be fine in the ego case, but since being designed for contained battery like the ego, they might have metal exposed inside.

Many different ego cases out there. The all vinyl and velcro type might seem safe but have a metal zipper from top to bottom (?).
