Down to about 3 cigs a day, but....

Never had the headaches, so I don't know it it's withdrawals or not.

However, psychosematics, or however you spell it, can be different for everyone.

But of all the times I quite smoking, I have never had headaches.

If you are down to a couple of smokes a day from a full time smoker, I would say that you are doing better than that of a full time smoker.

Hang in there.

I am sorry nobody answered you question. Maybe I can help. Are you sure it is from having cut back to 3 analogs a day? Are you under any stess lately? Has anything else changed recently other than you cutting back on smoking analogs? How long have you been vaping? What type of PV do you use? Do you use carts or refill with e-juice?

If it is a stress type headache I would recommend Aleve. Works wonders.

I'm having some of the worst headaches that I've ever had in my life. Aspirin doesn't help either. Is it because of the sudden drop of chemicals in my body or something? It's tempting to just have a smoke to make the headache go away, but I know it'll be back soon after I do. Any advice?

Somewhere in ECF is an assembled (and growing?) list of common side effects vapers have experienced. I seem to recall some people listing headaches. That certainly was true for me, at least sporadically.

I noticed that I needed to drink a lot more water after I started vaping. Coming up on a month & a half and it's still true. I'd suggest you try that first, since it can't hurt.

Some other things (off the top o' my head): too much nicotine? not enough nicotine? Are you using PG or VG? Try switching for a day maybe. Nicotine is an appetite suppressant - have you changed your diet since you started vaping?

I get migraines rarely (thankfully), so I know it can be hard to think clearly while your head's being crushed, but take some time to check yourself out. There are a million possible triggers for headaches. I hope you get it all sorted out.

Cheers!

Well, I had these headaches when I quit for 3 days, cold turkey. I'm always under stress, lol; I don't think there's one person without it, so that can't be much of a factor. I chew once in a while, but it's almost non-existent now, so there's one change.

I've been vaping for a few weeks, but problems with kits have hindered some progress. I use an M401 with no mods. I occasionally drip 1-2 drops when I don't have time to refill carts.

Oops! I forgot about that thread, lol. I try to stay hydrated while vaping. I'm vaping various flavors, but it's all PG 24mg(JC Strawberry, 555, Cool, and JC Tenn Cured). I rarely eat in the 1st place anyway, so I've eaten 2 candy bars today... lol. Thanks a lot for the input!

Do you use VG or PG? I understand that some people get headaches using PG but not with VG and some get them with VG and not PG. Maybe that is what you are experiencing. Also as someone else mentioned...vaping seems to dehydrate you so it is wise to drink more fluids. Try that and see if it doesn;t help.

For what it's worth I always got headaches when I quit or severely cut back on my smoking! My fiance does (or did) as well. Also theirs no doubt that the dehydration effect doesn't help any. The only two side effects I had when I started vaping were both identical to quitting cold turkey in fact. My fiance and I both got headaches which we later determined were due to the fact that we weren't getting as much nicotine (and possibly just from the other missing chemicals) as we would have from smoking, and we both got a nice teenage-style acne breakout about ten days into it. Incidentally we determined we weren't getting the same level of nicotine because we both felt immensely better when we had time to just sit around and vape our heads off. I have since read many posts/articles claiming that the absorption rate of nicotine is less from vapor than it is from tobacco combustion.

I would agree with the speculation about too much nicotine, not enough nicotine or dehydration. I've been fortunate and had just the opposite reaction - I've had migraines for the past 7 years and haven't had one at all since I started vaping 8 weeks ago, which is highly unusual. In my case, I think the absence of carbon monoxide is helping. Hope you find the solution quickly - best of luck!

I initially got some headaches and went through a somewhat 'irratable personality' stage (just ask my wife or co-workers!) upon taking up vaping and quitting analogs 100%.

Aside from those headaches I would sometimes get stiff-neck syndrome (where it hurts a little if you turn your head) during these early stages. I figured maybe it was my body reacting on the 'new way of getting nicone' or the loss of all the other chemicals in an analog cig. Or maybe the concentration of nicotine in these liquids.

After my first 2 days vaping, I cut my e-liquid with some VG that I bought at CVS and it helped a lot (more vapor, too!). After the first week and a half, I haven't had these headaches or stiff-neck at all, and it's been smooth sailing since.

What are atty are you using? I used the 901 for a few months and after about 10 puffs I got a killer headache on one side. I switched to the 510 and headache gone. Didnt realize it till I tried to go back to the 901 the other day and got a terrible headache.

The only thing I can think of that makes any kind of sense to me as to why would be the temp the liquid is cooked. Everyone knows you get almost none of all the nicotine in a regular cigarette because it gets burned off (ie heat kills nicotine) So with the 901 being a lower cooking atty, I thought it was possible that I was receiving more nicotine from it than the 510. Again, Im just speculating, but it makes sense to me.

I was actually going to post this question, but this gives me the opportunity to explain my thoughts.

Any thoughts?
