They grew up before HIV was a thing. My own MOTHER (husband number two) was trying to have a BABY with husband number two. I was like, "Are you insane go get tested." She was like, "OH, he's DEEPLY spiritual and I have nothing to worry about." I was like, "uh huh. I'm not raising your grandkid with my own (he was 1) I hate both his parents."
Several years later "deeply spiritual " had an affair with one of his clients.
You'd be shocked how many folks just don't believe there are diseases just waiting to get them, although I guess with the normal progression of HIV if their immune systems are okay, like, who knows what would off them first.
But yeah, it was all free love, fun drugs, and playing the "let's see how far it will go" kinda thing.

I don't want to go out with that on my conscience and if I were in a nursing home and banging some dude I would TOTALLY ASK for it.
It sets a bad example. I'm telling you. All those seniors running around acting like, well horny teenagers.
You should not catch AIDS when it is avoidable. It sets a bad example. It's... like my mommy all "I'm trying to have a baby" giddy. I was like, "Mom, Jesus, get tested it sets a bad example and if your AIDS ridden child ends up mingling with my own, well there's lots of blood with two boys. DO IT.
Thankfully the universe did not grant that particular wish.

I agree with the vaping porcupine (GoMuniEsq). (wouldn't that be a sight to see! LOL ) I have one Mod only cus I'm on a budget. I feel there is no need for others because I can just switch tanks to change juices and the battery life last me 3 days so all is good. That said, if I were rich, oh yeah I'd collect mods like Donald Trump collects orange hair coloring, like the US southern border collects criminal migrants, like the Democrats collect points in Hell.....er... o.k. I'll control myself now. LOL
Mandatory if they get caught actually. You'd be amazed what you see working midnight shifts. Personally I never turned them in, just closed the door if I knew it was consensual.If they stopped handing ...... out like candy the problem would be solved.

1) Panic !
2) Dig out my old Halo G6 cigalike, pray I can find the charger and juice up an atty assuming I can find one that's not dead. (I have cats, they get into and scatter Everything)
3) Send mod off to get fixed.
4) If any of that fails freak out again. Break down and get to the store for a replacement.
5) Last option: A Wizard Stick!

I'm averse to panic. Thus I have never, since the very first day I started vaping, had less than two working setups.
Peace of mind is priceless.
I never know when my Wife and I go shopping together if I'm going to be back in two hours or eight. I always make sure I have a freshly filled mod with a spare battery and an 18650 in a ziplock along with a 15ml needle tip bottle of juice, and a Phillips screwdriver.
Quite often we end up shopping for a while, then lunch, and a couple of "while we are on this side of town" stops. I'm in a better mood for all that if I have juice and extra power.

Same here. I enjoy the hunt. But also, I’m older and don’t have so many financial obligations. My kids are grown, all my stuff is paid off, I have everything I need, and otherwise my life is so cheap it’s funny. And partly, I wanted a variety of gear in case there is a crack down. But mostly I just enjoy collecting.
I have around 40 regulated mods and many more fixed power devices none of them being a mech mod. Most of these mods were from suggestions and much of the time they were not as good as what I already had. Most have been a disappointment.
I do have some niches that I would like to fill better while moving others into storage in case devices like these become unavailable in the future.
While trying to fill some niches better people seem to always suggest something already have and have rejected and not the best fit for that niche.
I have way too much stuff and do need to downsize.

I only partly worry because I have no kids not that from what I’ve seen after 25 years of hospital careers that they will take care of their parents in much shape or form. So spend what you you have and enjoy it.
I agree completely with Rossum below - don't worry about shinyitis, but do get yourself a back up mod.
If that one mod is the only thing keeping you smoke-free - Then buy yourself a very cheap backup mod.

I get it.. I do.. but Panic is so much Fun.. it reminds me I'm alive and I think it made a Great joke. LOL - I know I can go at least 3 days without a vape or a cigarette.. no problem.. kicking and screaming hell yeah but still, not a problem. LOL

Years ago when I used Riva's I had two going or at least a mod and a 5 volt passthrough but they were cheap at below 30 bucks each. I wouldn't mind having a passthrough so I could vape at home from the PC's 5 volt USB port and that would be a nice backup.. as long as I don't leave the house..... LOL I'm only using ten watts.. I'm sure I could find a cheap mod that would do 10 watts as compared to my mods 85 watts but I haven't looked.

I love your post because you Go places with your wife. Not a lot of men do that. My wife is my best friend and we go everywhere together. We go shopping and find ourselves down in The French Quarters in New Orleans and stay for the fried alligator and beer. I try to turn every boring outing into something we can both enjoy. Instead of shopping on a day when there is not much time, we do it when we can use half the day to also have fun. The sex life is awesome.
