I think that 17$ for a bit of molded plastic and 2 .39c bottles seems a little steep as well... ... The other one I have seen was all metal, availiable in colors to match your mod, a little window to view juice flow and works with "most" juice bottles (I especially like that it works with DK and MV 10 ml bottles). ...

That "other one" is also $60 plus shipping. For the design, I found the DoD to be fairly reasonable, while it seems to me $60+shipping is a bit much for a half-ounce of aluminum, especially when all it does is hold the bottle for you...

Can it be left unattended in a climate controlled place? It was mentioned not to leave it alone where the temperature will get hot or otherwise fluxuate. If I leave it on my desk at work and end up out for 10 hours before I get back to the office, will I be wiping up juice, cleaning my PV, and blowing a bunch of juice out of my atty? Or will the vacuum hold in a controlled environment?

With that, does it work better or worse with different juices? Most of my TopVapor juices are fairly thin, all of my chinese juioces are really thin, and other juices I keep around (bobas bounty, for instance) are very thick. Is this device able to perform well across the viscosity spectrum?

Six, seems to work fine with the variety of the juices I've tested. With some thicker juices a bottle squeeze here and there may be needed but usually not. The real problem with any leaking comes from heat expansion of the bottle. If the bottle tip is down and the bottle heats up and expands, juice will flow. But typically if left on the side or with the bottle tip up there are no issues..

I've never been a dripper due to the hassle of 'dripping and driving' but the DoD has converted me and I can happily vape a whole 5ml bottle of something without ever havng to go in my pocket to top off the atty or carto.

With all do respect the Drip on Demand system is considerably more than just a bit of molded plastic and bottles. The finished product is a result of a year of research, engineering and testing of dozens of designs and choices. The bottles that are used are an integral part of the system. They have been thoroughly evaluated and field-tested. Yes they are proprietary and for a very good reason. They work where all of the other dozens of bottles we tested have failed.
A clear Drip on Demand was certainly a consideration but that idea was rejected for several reasons. Chief among them was the way it would look after months of use. The bottom line reason is that being able to see the drops became unnecessary. Our testers found that once the atomizer is fully primed the vacuum from vaping itself helps to feed the atomizer so squeezing the bottle is a secondary operation.
We feel that the Drip on Demand solves a lot of problems in a very simple and economical way and we hope you will give it a try.

perhaps a failed attempt to make one will be the thing to convince me that I should order it. :)

Good question, thanks. In climate controlled environments you will have no problem at all. We mentioned this because one of our testers left his DoD upright in a closed car for a couple of hours in 90-degree weather. The viscosity of liquid varies with temperature and in that kind of heat it’s a good bet it thinned. Couple that with heat expansion of the bottle and it is no surprise that there would be problems. If you must leave it in a hot environment for an extended amount of time the safest thing would be to take the bottle out of the DoD and put the supplied cap on it.
The Drip on Demand system is a new and unique way of eliquid delivery and as such we want to share our experience with consumers. We want you to know what to expect in every situation that we have encountered. That way mishaps can be avoided such as leaving it in a hot car. For a more detailed review please see our link in the MadVapes Drip on Demand description page.

Yes. :thumb: MadVapes has plenty of stock. If you use different flavors it's a good idea to have a bottle for each. Makes changing a snap.

When I ordered my kit I looked for empty bottles but I couldn't find any. Nothing that said specifically for the DoD anyway, and I understand they're not just a standard bottle? So which ones are they?
Cheers

i just saw this thing on my email (madvapes newsletter), damn it seems like i'm ordering something every week, just like others said i'll beach about the price but i'll still order it anyways...

one thing i think they should've done, the end that seats into the atomizer should've had a channel with an o-ring just like how drip tips have, it'd make a tight seal and be replaceable if worn, 'cause i'd foresee the plastic tube over time just little clipping on the edges of the metal atomizer and wearing it loose.

Hi. :)
Two quick questions about the DOD system:
1) Can a standard 510 Drip Tip be used in place of the end caps?
2) Where on the site can extra 5ml bottles for the DOD system be found? I can't seem to find any listed.
Thanks. :)

1) Yes. You can use 510/901 drip tips.

2) I do not see the bottles on the site. I do know that they are in stock and will find out ASAP how you can order them.

Sorry I can't help more.

Thank you. Good question.
Lawyers had a hand in that decision.
There is an outside chance your scenario might affect a 901 but there is not much of a chance it will ever be a problem on a 510. You will see when you get your DoD that it would take some force to make a 510 bottom out and that isn’t really necessary. With a 510 push the DoD on until it’s tight and don’t worry if it does not bottom out.

Thanks for the quick reply - I have my cart all loaded up and ready to go and will pull the trigger on it as soon as the bottles are listed (hopefully tomorrow after I get home from work), so I don't have to make two separate orders. I can probably do just fine with the two, but four would of course be better. :)

BTW, I also wanted to mention that your VV Box Mod is my second favourite mod next to my Darwin - it was the only one I kept out of my collection when I sold it all to cover the cost of the Darwin, and use it daily as my work mod - great job on those!

Bottles on Web site. Look in 'Empty Bottles'. Thank you Hoogie!
