Now I'm worried
Yea, I'm on a 1.0mm airflow and its not as tight as I thought it would be, its great for me, but I liked nautlus2's 2 holes on the 1.6ohm coil (which is tighter than the 0.7)
Maybe the sealing of the airflow plug is not as precise on the clones vs the original?... dunno.
It is however a very smooth airflow, smoother then doggy's with almost closed afc.

Good to know, mine shipped yesterday, I hope it will suit my vape stile, Prime clone on smallest hole, Siren 2 on 2nd (sometimes on 1st depending on the mood and the juice) and the Doggy almost closed. I'm happy about the smooth vape, I like the smoothness of the Siren 2 and hope the taste will match the Prime and the Doggy.

Good thread. Just ordered a 22mm MTL gold one.

Going to 3d print a side by side mod using a pico squeeze board and button and 20700 battery.

Been using the doggystyle in a mech/squeeze with 3000mah 18650. This is about the right combo of mL and mAh as far as service goes. The doggy is empty at the same time I want to put a fresh battery. So I should be quite evenly matched with a dvarw 5ml and 4000mah 20700, in a 23mm OD mod. I just want a simple mod that I can plug in a charge cable, with enough tank and battery capacity so that I do not have to take anything else with me to work or anywhere else.

I was planning on doing a 24mm side by side with the 6ml dvarw, welding up and redrilling the afc inserts, but I think I’ll just wait and see if they come out with mtl inserts for it.

Don't be... the .8 is uber tight.

I am using the biggest hole insert on my dwarf but if I want really uber, uber, uber tight draw I can have it instantly...

Just place your finger over external AF hole and take a draw... closer you place finger to the hole tighter draw will be... with little practice you can have draw range from 0.0 mm (for that number you have to really hard press your finger over AF opening)... to any number you like... not bigger than diameter of hole under coil or external AF opening... that is why the best insert for dwarv is the one with biggest hole... because it gives you the biggest number of options...:D:D:D

I respectfully disagree, I think what makes the dvarw's airflow so smooth is the big inlet small outlet of the airflow, when air condenses to the smaller airflow adapter makes it shoot tight smooth air right into the coil, thats why it will be for ever smoother then the doggy's, since the doggy has a fixed 1.6mm airflow and the external afc ring does not change much in terms of smoothness. (not saying doggy isnt smooth, just dvarw is smoother for tight mtl type vaping imho)

It does however prefer a smaller coil, because of the thin air steam of the adapters, Im enjoying it with 2mm 6wrap 28ga @ ~1ohm

I'm into vaping for 4 1/2 months, no analog since the first draw on the Endura T22 after 25 years of active smoking around 25 cigs a day. I only do MTL and haven't an opportunity to try many attys (I own Prime, Doggy and Siren 2) but I think there is no other atty that can have smoother vape than the Siren 2 (maybe there are more on a par with it tho). No noise at all on the first and second hole, not a single pop or spit. As I said I'm relatively new into vaping but I can't imagine smoother vape from an atty, maybe I'm wrong who knows :) .

Small hole under coil is one of the factors of flavor and can't be adjusted from the outside IMO (and others):

Very small small hole under coil can affect flavor but very often in negative way... unless... coil is very small/short...
For traditional MTL, flavor chasing, tight draw, small chamber vaping, the hole under the coil should be under 2mm (1.5 and under IMO) and the coil, yes, should be smaller diameter (I like 2.25 and 2).

Been vaping that way for many years and flavor is effected by the diameter of the hole under the coil and cannot be corrected simply by cutting air externally. This was attempted by the RTAs that tried to be both (MTL and DL) but had too big a hole underneath coil. Hence the revival of small hole under coil atties we are seeing.

I tried different inserts on my Dwarv and did not found any difference in flavor... the only difference I notice is amount of sucking effort necessary to taste it. Size of coil, position of coil, lenght of chimney (2 ml tank offer slightly more flavor than taller one) and even drip tip can affect flavor more than difference between 1 mm or 2mm hole under coil...

AFC holes on AFC ring are able compensate for larger hole under coil...unless hole under coil is really big (3mm or bigger)...

Nautilus tank can be regarded as very traditional MTL and at external single smallest hole open draw on this tank can be as tight as on those tanks that have 1mm hole under coil... Nautilus BVC coils have internal air flow that is at least 2.5 mm ... Kabuki tank is using them and can offer flavor with draw that can range from 0.0 to 2.5mm...Original authentic Doggystyle regarded as very flavorful tank had 2.3 mm hole on deck... The thing that is affected by diameter of the hole under the coil is not flavor but the draw... there are tanks that have 4 mm hole under coil and still provide great flavor...and only thing are not able is to provide tight MTL draw...

Respectfully disagree and the hole under coil has an effect on the flavor I seek. Its not the only variable, of course, but it is one of the variables and restricts the air at the proper point to produce flavor. Its why I seek out RTAs that have that offering. Its why that style, for me, beats Nauti, Kabuki, authentic Doggy, etc.

I'll stick w my 1mm insert and you stick with thumb over outside air and we can both enjoy our Dvarws :)

I'm pretty much done with this thing. The way the chamber comes apart when I open it to refill is just way too annoying.

You mean that the top cap of the chamber sticks to the tank section? So does mine but it does no harm.
If the lower section with wick holes comes apart also that would be very annoying, but could be fixed with tighter o- rings.

No!!! You stick with your 1 mm and I will stick with my 2mm insert...:) I have no need to restrict AF on any MTL RTA I own... quite opposite I quite often have a need to use 2mm drill bit to enlarge hole under coil (did this to SXK Doggy and Siren and wish I could do that to Vapfly Galaxies as this is the flavor deficient sucker:()..... do not have to do this to dvarw because 2mm insert provides great flavor for me.

Thumb over outside air flow hole was just a tip for those that can enjoy flavor only when they suck it hard... and by mistake bought a Siren SYMJ Doggy or other "flavorless tank"...o_O

I surely enjoy my Dvarw and doggy... below is picture of them I took today during lunch brake at my workplace... :)

Top cap of chamber were sticking on my dwarf for couple of weeks but now never do that... one thing that annoy me with my dvarw is not so smooth threading I have to wiggle back and forth to screw the deck properly... well it is a clone so probably original is made much better.

As opposed to those who suck it easy :)
