Anyone happen to know (or willing to measure) the inner diameter of the chimney on the Dvarw 22 and/or the Dvarw 16?

I took some measurements from the photos on fasttech and scaled them. I'm estimating that the chimney on the 16mm Dvarw may be the same size as the chimney on my kayfun Prime. And I think the chimney on the 22mm Dvarw may be a bit wider than the chimney on my kayfun Prime... possibly the same size as the chimney on the Doggystyle.

So I put in an order for the 16mm Dvarw. If I like it, I may try the 22mm next.

Mail arrived today & I built Dwarv per my usual KFL specs ; 6 wrap / 28ga / 1.4-ish
Wicked it as I usually would making sure to have the wick ends in contact fully with the oval holes on the inside diameter, but didn't really obsess over it to a significant degree.
What a great vape ! Really outstanding, my initial build has this thing performing as well as my very best hit-or-miss KFL builds. Once I zero in a bit it's very likely to be, dare I say it ; a consistently better vape than my KFL's ?
Ingenious design in that the air inlet is very large & is restricted for proper MTL internally by the various inserts, hence much, much quieter than KFL. Thats a welcome bonus.
Using 1mm AF insert - feels about right.
If it doesn't prove to be a juice polluter like doggy, & I doubt that it will given the method of wicking, I'll load up on few & finally retire the KFL's & Russians that have served with such distinction lo these many years.

This was my problem with my 5ml Dvarw. Took soooo long to vape it empty that the juice was turning dark first. I don't expect this to be an issue with the 16mm Dvarw that I have coming to mount in my new Pico Baby. I just hope it vapes as well as the bigger one did.

I'm a KFL fanboy and they have pretty much been unused since the Dvarw. Congrats!

After a week & a half of Dvarv life & comparing to KFL ;
A great MTL vape, easily the equal of KFL with less touchy wicking.
Easy to fill, no issues, no tiny screw to wrangle.
Faster & easier to re-wick, less parts & easier to clean up. ( a good thing - see below )
Haven't experienced any leaking.
Very quiet , smooth draw w / 1mm insert. Luxurious, love that.

However ;
It does re suspend residue in the juice a bit - but not nearly as prevalent as Doggy, can refill for about 2+ days, then it needs a new wick to clean things up. I usually get 5-6 days out of KFL wick before it needs attention.
Coils get gummed up & accumulate deposits quicker than KFL, I think thats due to the very low volume chimney arrangement. KFL has easily twice or more the chimney volume of Dvarv.
The build deck could be roomier, Has anyone tried the 24mm DL version & swapped the air flow insert for a MTL size ?

Overall it's far & away the most usable / best vape of the several newer MTL Rta's I've tried.
The increased frequency of needing to rewick & cleanup the coil is balanced out by the terrific performance, fast, easy filling & non finicky wicking.
... so smooth & quiet.

Thanks for the info. I don't have the Kayfun Lite but the YFTK Kayfun Prime is my favorite atomizer. I have both 16mm and 22mm Dvarw clones on order and I'm looking forward to trying them. The 16mm Dvarw should be arriving in a few days since it just got processed through customs.

I think I saw the discussion about the Doggy. I haven't noticed that problem but I vape mostly unflavored and completely clean my atomizers every week. I don't use the Doggy nearly as much as my Prime though.

Hi everyone!

I need some help with Dvarw. Almost everyone says that it doesn't leak, but mine does. When I wick it and fill it up, everything is fine. But as soon as the tank is not in vertical position (i.e. when I put it in the pocket or put it horizontaly) it starts to leak badly. Also when I fill it up again it's the same problem and it also starts to gurgle
:(

Any suggestion or solution - I've already tried with different coil diameters, different cotton, more or less cotton, I watched a lot of youtube videos and still can't find what the problem is?

Sounds very strange.
Only way I can make my Dvarw leak is to use too little cotton so that the juice holes on the chimney are not fully covered. And then it leaks no matter what position it is.

Lalli, thank you for suggestion. I watched videos again and I probably wicked it with too little cotton. Will try again today with more cotton in the holes and report back if the problem is solved.

I found mine would leak when I had too much cotton in it. When I thinned the cotton out it never leaked after that.

This is how i wick mine never leaks, even in pocket on its side ect,
Mine has the larger oval juice holes on chamber as well, bend over i just tuck the wick down inside the chamber, so its sat in front of oval feed holes. And push it back a little once its juiced up it expands and seals,

Some pull and feed cotton through the feed holes i find it kind of mute Flavour for me as its choked off or can leak, so i dont use that way

Thank you all for suggestions. Yesterday I wicked the Dvarw again and this time with a little bit more cotton and it appears for now that it's OK. I turned it upside down, horizontally and no leaks for now

Probably it was my wicking and I just have to build more ;)

What kind of coils are you all using and what wattage. Just single Kanthal A1 26-28ga around 1 ohm or....

P.S. @benley73: great photos of the whole process, one can really visualize how to do it

Love my darvws and 99 percent of the time it never leaks, but there has been a couple times when it has. This has only happened to my 2ml steam tuners set up. If the juice level is like half or slightly under half and I'm lying down on my couch , obviously tilting the tank, I have had it leak once or twice. I guess because of the low juice level, the tilt exposes one of the holes, drawing in air which messes something up...this can happen with other tanks too, but it's rare because a few things need to all be happening together.....btw, just received an evl reaper 3, which looks pretty close to the darvw and is really a great vape and rivals the darvw....

So the famous question.... How would you rate the EVL with the Dvarw and the Kprime?

I have only tried 1 of my juices in the evl so far , but that juice is tasting incredible! I have been vaping this juice for a while and know how it tastes in all my rtas and it's by far tastier in the evl. But certain juices do taste different in certain rtas, so it can be just special in the evl. But if I find all my juices taste better in it, it would surely be my fav to date. Between the prime and darvw, probably the darvw, simply because its smaller.
