I just started my mum and a few others off into the e smoking world. The good news is, they all haven;t had fags since and love it. The bad news is my concern for the E CIG and acne..this is why...

My mum has given up smoking before, on many different occasions for sometimes months and she had never had any symptons of acne from giving up. Now she is using the e-cig she started to get a few spots. She told me she never gets spots and never did on previous attemps. Why is it she did this time? I think the vapour has something to do with it....Also, i have had the same spot for about a month..WHAT IS GOING ON!! lol

Can anyone give any explanations???

Where are the spots that she's getting exactly?

While e-cigs don't emit that harmful of a vapor, I do experience a little bit of the liquid coming out from time to time. If she's getting them around her lips or on spots where she's likely to put her hand while e-smoking, if a little of that liquid leaks out either onto her lips or on her fingers which then touch her face, the liquid could probably get into her pores and cause acne. If she's getting acne in just random spots around her face I would have no idea.

I haven't experienced this problem but others on the forum have reported similar problems.

To be honest - I liked Cash's reply - it made me laugh and points to the huge progress your mum has made in moving away from smoking. I hope someone here has a suggestion that solves the problem but - spots v's tumors - isn't a difficult choice.

Acne is generally caused by bad stuff getting out of your system through your skin. Kind of like a mini detox.
When you stop smoking all those chemicals have to get out somehow. same as when you eat crap food and then go to a good diet.
smoking, apart from all the other bad stuff it does, clogs your porse. if you stop then all the bad stuff comes out because it can get out. I think your mum just needs to ride it out and have a good skin cleaning regimn and it will go away soon

I agree with the "mini detox" theory. No matter what the addiction is, our bodies release the poisons in one form or another when we stop. In this case, all of the other additives in cigarette smoke. You'll probably find yourself coughing more for the first couple of weeks after losing the analogs.

I'm not a doctor, but I read a lot of holistic books. It makes sense.
