When I went back to smoking 6 years ago, I switched to American Spirits mainly because they were additive free. I agree with the other posters about the subject. I didn't feel that they were safer than run of the mill cigarettes because I was smoking them. I will say that the switch over to vaping was not as difficult as some smokers have felt. I didn't have the chemical withdraw, so I guess that was a plus.

Me, too. I smoked the MCD in the exact same quantities, and I go for the 24mg ejuice also.
One added advantage of smoking MCDs is that you become accustomed to explaining to people what you smoke, since they're long, thin brown sticks that come in a fancy case. This makes it easier to smoke something mildly curious looking, like an ecig that kind of looks like a cigarette.
