You can extract your own flavourings and add them to food grade PG/VG picked at the picked up at a pharmacy,at least you know your not getting artificial flavours, theres a tutorial on this site too show you how to make and extract from coffee, pretty easy too.

Very cool! I'll have to check into that! Obviously, my first post here was a joke... I would have left the vegans alone, but they had to insist on us thinking vaping animals was disgusting, which opened up the gates for me. However, I've been thinking about trying to extract some tobacco flavors if I like the tobaccos that should be arriving from HHV today. Not often, maybe once or twice a year, I'd treat myself to some fine pipe tobacco, and I really wouldn't mind seeing what some of those are like in a vape! I'm also curious to try a self extracted fruit flavor versus store-bought. Either way, sounds fun to try!

It's also used in asthma inhalers, and it's been tested pretty thoroughly for about 50 years. I'm not too worried about it, but I have been thinking of trying organic juices to get away from synthetic food flavoring which I do worry a little about.
Propylene glycol is also used to deliver medication to the lungs of lung transplant patients.

As for organinc, I honestly don't know why organic flavorings would be any better than synthetic ones.
They both contain a whole bunch of "chemicals" that have not been tested for long term inhalation.

Not saying that organic is not better, but not saying it isn't.
Just that we know less about inhalation of flavorings than anything else in this picture.

great info thanks all.
RE 'protein gave us bigger brains' I can theorize why we use such a small % of it: maybe not eating meat would make us use more of it, maybe not eating all that meat proten for a bigger brain (suposidly) that we use almost none of could have been replaced with a smaller yet smarter brain which would have evolveded us way more advanced as a race than we are now. Elephants have bigger brains than us. There are a lot of smart vegans, doctors, dominating celebs, business people, etc. I can eat plenty of vegan protein or over-do it will vegan powder, there are some big strong muscular vegans out there that bulk up without roids instead of most that do endurance sport and want to be slim. Rhinos, Triceratops, gorillas, bulls etc are big and strong, just without the teeth or claws that usually makes them lose fights to things like lions that makes them look insuperior in the wild. I'd bet we'll eventaully synthesize something much stronger than protein like safe steroids that makes eating meat pointless, unless you actually like the taste of plain unseasoned meat, in which case we'll also likely synthesize something as complex in texture as meat too without anything in it that might be bad. I'm only about 7 months into vegan, so I can't argue too well, but from what I gather, there's no concrete proof towards either side yet.

We actually do use the majority of our brains. It's a myth that we don't. I think zapped is right, that we wouldn't have been able to develop as we have without becoming omnivores, because we needed to make use of all the nutrients that were available to us. Large brains require a lot of energy, and that energy was more readily available in the past from meat. That said, we have the resources available now to get all the energy we need from a plant based diet, as your examples demonstrate. And, many of the diseases that are so prevalent today can be traced to animal products (the documentary Forks Over Knives, available on Netflix makes a strong argument for this point), so going vegan can dramatically improve your health, if done correctly. I think we would be better off as a species if we all tried to push in that direction, but it's hard to deny that we needed meat to get us where we are today.

My post was made in a half joking manner.Im pagan and have a LOT of vegan friends. That being said I can appreciate your passion but this might not be the most receptive place for pushing those ideals on others.

I think theres a vegan vapers group and thread here devoted specifically for all things vegan .

I do wish you luck with finding your ideal setup and juices.Im off to Wendys to grab a double bacon cheeseburger :p
