E-Cigarette User Age Poll

Thought it be interested to see average ages of e-cigarette users, also be interested to see how long people have been smoking.

Im 31 and have been smoking since I was 15, though became a confirmed smoker around 18.

45 and at it since I was about 19. Resisted all the back-of-the-bike-shed peer-group pressure at school, no problem. Then the damn fools started letting me into pubs...

25, started at 14. The convenience store across from highschool made most of it's revenue off of selling cigs to minors. "Five bucks even for a pack, put it in your pocket before you walk outside!" Thought it was awesome at the time, god knows how many teens that store hooked.

I think the majority of e-smokers will be over 35

I was the look out at school for everybody else , like everybody then they let me into pubs once there you had to follow the crowd, you went home smelling like an ashtray anyway. I dont know why i bothered spending my money as i would have probably inhaled enough from passive smoking.

Passive smoking that brings back memorys when in teens ,giving each other blow backs to share a cigarette lol yukka !

I'm old and have been smoking since I was 13. See Karen there is always a way around the age issue.

I started smoking at age 12. I'm 52 in December.

I can assure you that if my parents had found out I was smoking at such a young age, I would probably not be writing on this forum now. I would have been dead meat

I managed to keep it hidden until I was 16

Lady Python - I too would be dead if my parents had found out. My cousin introduced me to cigs and I kept it hidden until I was 16.

So as my parents wouldn't find out (my mom mainly) as my dad smokes anyway I would buy 20 a day and any i hadn't smoked on the way home from the pub that night i used to sling the packet over somebodies hedge or fence / when i did get brave i'd have a cig in the loo when mom went to bingo blow the smoke out of the bathroom window and spray air freshener around after

I remember the first time I got caught. My parents went for a walk around the neighborhood and I decided to sneak a cig. I bet they were gone a good 45 minutes and I forgot to lock the front door. Needless to say, when they got home I swore that that newly lit cigarette lying in the ashtray was theirs and they had forgotten to take it with them. LOL

I never got caught. Was upfront and frank at about 14/15 years old. Parents never over-reacted. My mom is even allergic to tobacco smoke, and she was still supportive. As long as I did it outside on the porch, all was well.

Both of my parents were "over-reaction" type of people. Only after they calmed down could we speak.

When you got home from the pub you used to throw the cigs so they wouldn't know you smoked?

i know what a waste but what about the poor persons garden, i bet they used to stand ready to catch every night, you know i never looked over the hedge this was ofcourse many many moons ago more than i care to remember. but he ho we've all done stupid things in the past when we were young free single and daft

I was actually referring to the fact that you were going home from the pub, and then hiding your cigarettes! My parents would have been more angry about me going to a pub every night!

But good point, that is a waste! You should have hidden them somewhere
