E-juice is getting outrageously expensive! Need advice

First and for most, I have no clue exactly what the cost of manufacturing is for companies like "five-paws" But I am a business man, and I can tell you that if they got rid of the fancy labels and cardboard containers the juice comes in, I know they could offer less. I could care less about any of that, give it to me in a sandwich bag, and I will do as I always do. Fill my plastic fill bottles and vape away!

I will attached my review that I left on 5-pawns Facebook group earlier today, below, but my concern is simple. I vape through a 30ml bottle in 2-3 days. Sometimes 1 using GENNYs. This is not economical and is truthfully 5 times the cost of smoking. I thought vamping was supposed to save money, leaving the hobby side out of this. E-juice is juice and it doesn't matter what the bottles look like its all about the flavor.

I hate the say it, but if someone could CLONE the GRANDMASTER and I could purchase a 30ml bottle for $10 you bet your bottom dollar I would do it. And I used to work in the FLAG & Sign Industry. We would travel the country having account after account shut the door in our face that we had held some for over 20+ years. They would rather buy an American Flag that was stitched in China, with a China Tag, than pay for an american made product, THIS IS THE AMERICAN FLAG. The point I am trying to make is that people will ultimately do whats best for them, even if they really like the company. Maybe not friends, family members, locals. There is a killer juice company here in Nashville called Vigilante Juice. The BEST juice I have ever had, (Skull & Cross Bones) Even though its priced at $22 a bottle I am will purchase it till the end of time because the creator, CEO and founder is a friend of mine. However, if the economy tanks again, and it was either feed my kids or vape boutique juice, what would I choose?

As a business man its your job to find creative ways to offer the best product at the best price, not hoard the money.(NOT SAYING THATS WHATS HAPPENING) I think companies that I would call have (BOUTIQUE) E-Juice are exceptional for the industry, but I am simply raising a point that not everybody can afford to vape these juices, or if they can, it has to be a desert for them.

The problem lies with the factor that once you taste quality juice you don't ever want to go back to the cheap stuff. Someone out there needs to come up with a killer e-juice that is available in BULK or for under $10.00 for a 30ml. I know this will happen. There is no way that it cost these guys more than $5.00 per 30ml bottle for materials.

My apologies if this article seems negative, just to prove my point. see photo below of some of my empty high end juice bottles that aren't down in the garage in shoe boxes.

Anybody care to chime in?

Cheers!

I diy my own juice and my cost is anywhere from $1.50 to about $3.00 to make a 30ml bottle, about 50 cents more if I use a new bottle (I usually reuse my bottles though). Juice manufacturers probably get a volume discount on their supplies and ingredients, but keep in mind they have to pay for labor, and other overhead. Besides they're in business to make a profit.

I am strictly a GENNY user now & occasionally still drip. When I am working, I use a Kayfun. All of those ATTYS are juice guzzlers. You have to keep into account spillage. GENNYS drip everywhere, if you lean it to far to one side.. SPILLAGE. They also are finicky, and require constant tweaking. That being said, yet I vape from the time I wake up till the time I go to sleep. I currently down to a Nic level of 6. So maybe if I stepped back up I would vape less, but the point of all this was to eventually quit nicotine. I can tell you a fews weeks ago I did grab a bottle of 12 nic again just out of curiosity, but the problem there is I would get nic sick if I kept vaping as much as I enjoy to vape.

I feel you on that one. After I started vaping 3-4 ml a day of high quality juice, the price really skyrocketed. I don't order from Five Pawns but my 30ml bottles still come out to about $20 - $22. I can hardly vape the cheap stuff anymore.

Five Pawns is really all about marketing. People buy up their juice like no tomorrow, so I don't see them ever lowering the price. I've heard they make good stuff but no amount of fancy bottles and hype is going to get me to spend $27.50 on 30ml of juice. Maybe someone will clone it and sell it cheaper one day, without all the extras. But they are advertising a "top of the line" product and give it a top of the line price.

Find something comparable and SETTLE.
It is what we all do. Unless you are a guy that has to have the best at all costs and it does not sound like it.
I like 'the best" in certain things, purses, sometimes shoes...I covet them BUT I do not run around in them all week while running errands. Unless you want to continue to throw good money after bad find something that is almost as good and vape it all week while working and 'leaking' juice every where. Save your FP for the weekends at home.

Erazzz,

Marketing is necessary for businesses, however, there needs to be some sort of benefit program for loyal customers. HALO runs deals all the time, although they only have one flavor I occasionally vape, they have the right idea. However HALO is a big time company compared to Five Pawns at this time which would still be classified as a boutique up and coming main stream juice. Nevertheless, they won't keep customers for the long haul selling juice at that price. I could probably hire a chemist to reverse engineer the juice, and sell it cheap in bulk amounts if I wanted to be vengeful, but thats not what I am trying to accomplish, I would rather just be able to vape my favorite juice for a reasonable price.

Thank you for the great idea. I try always to only use my GENNYS at home. It's very hard to not want to vape with them at work, but I do usually carry a Fafun or even my ProVari with a carto tank, which works good for sweet juices.

I do enjoy your idea, however I just haven't been able to find a reasonably priced juice that can become my all day vape in the likeness of a mild woody tobacco, very light with nutty undertones topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and sprinkled with brown sugar. La Cream topping! If you have any suggestions I am all EARS!??

this place sells 30 ml for 8 bucks - i'm a newby so my palate might be crude, lol, but i love this juice. At first i tried it just cause of the low price, but then i actually really liked it. my experience is admittedly limited, but i also have some Alien Visions and Mt Baker juices, and imho this is as good or better. YMMV of course, but maybe worth a try.

The whole point of for-proffit businesses is to charge as much as the market will bear. Boutique businesses don't need to charge bottom dollar prices to sell their products. They deliver a product those of us who appreciate complex flavors and nice packaging are willing to pay for. If their prices were too high, they would soon find themselves out of business...

Well I have drippers but I normally use a Kayfun or Russian on a PrOVari or VTR and I go through at least 10ml a day. I chain Vape 6mg all day long. I agree some of these prices are crazy. I have 2 bottles of 30ml juice that cost 50 for both bottles. That's crazy.

I agree with another poster. I buy from Killer Juice too. Their juices are priced low but dang the quality and taste is right up there with the best of them. When I first went to the site I backed out of buying a few times because to me that cheap of a price meant low quality cheap taste... But after I decided I'd try it omg its a high quality juice at a low price. I've gotten several flavors from there and I've not been let down yet. I normally Vaped suicide Bunny Mothers Milk, The Standard, five pawns... So my taste is very picky.

Ah and Bryce's Ejuices are high quality juices. Very yummy. I just got a few bottles in today and delicious stuff.

Btw: if anyone decides to order from Killer Juice... Don't make the mistake of ordering from another company called Killer Eliquid or Killer Liquid. Both are not good at all and people confuse them with Killer Juice which is a great juice company. Walt, the owner, gets calls from these other customers from those other companies and eventually realizes they weren't his customers but he fixes them up anyway. Great customer service with his company. He's an expert with flavors.

As a business man its your job to find creative ways to offer the best product at the best price, not hoard the money.

And as a consumer, it's your job to make cost benefit analyses about your purchases. If $1 a ml is too much for your habits, then don't buy it. It's not their job to make juice at a price you're willing to pay, but a juice that enough people are willing to pay. If juices like Five Pawns are too much according to your usage, buy a cheaper liquid and stop complaining that they won't meet your needs.

Five Pawns is really all about marketing.

This is sort-of true. They obviously have done very well marketing themselves and placing their products in the premium price range, but marketing doesn't make up for a bad product. If their juice was bad, the fancy bottles and cardboard covers wouldn't help them.

What you're paying for with a juice like Five Pawns is the time they spent developing a juice with complex flavor profiles. I don't how how to make a particular flavor only reveal itself to the vaper on the exhale, and a company like 5P has perfected that. They've obviously spent a HUGE amount of time developing their product. Why shouldn't we be asked to pay more for a product like that than the one made by a guy at the local vape shop who puts a couple of syringes of grape flavoring in to a 50/50 pg/vg nicotine base and calls it grape?
