I would rather just be able to vape my favorite juice for a reasonable price.

And I feel like driving my favorite car for a reasonable price.

What it sounds like is you feel entitled to the juice of your choice for the price you want, and anything else is simply unfair. Nothing works that way. Why should ejuice?

I tend to buy medium priced juice--although I just ordered from Lucky7 based on a thread here on the forum, and they are quite inexpensive. I do have some 5 Pawns, but it is a "treat" juice. Same with Suicide Bunny. Bryce's juice is excellent and not horribly expensive and is my favorite (for now) go to juice on a regular basis. I also have some Velvet Cloud Vapor that is terrific and also not hugely expensive. Like anything else in life, you buy what works for your budget. Some things I buy at the grocery are "generic" brands to save $$ where I can (as in there is no difference really between generic or store brand sugar and Domino's). Other things you splurge on because they taste better. Not so different for e juices, really.

I love how people always like to talk about supply and demand in regards to things like this...this is America...it's the American way, I'll spend my money anyway I want, bla bla bla. I completely disagree with that. I have no problem paying somebody for their time and experience, even rewarding them for being innovative (as I would want to be rewarded myself), but I still want it to be FAIR.

Let's take cskent's example of $1.50 to $3.00 to make 30ml of juice (that's with him buying small batches of ingredients). For the sake of argument let's say it costs a boutique supplier $3 because they have monks praying the god-like-quality ingredients out of thin air ;) Let's double that so they can pay for the overhead of running the business, so $6. Let's double that again so they can make 100% profit (it is 'merica after all lol), so $12. That would be great. Good for them for making a great product, thus they deserve to have a great profit too. That would be fair to me.

But that isn't good enough for them; they want more and more and more...so they double that again to $24! Hell yeah, I'm rich[MODERATED]! ;) But wait, charging 8 times the raw cost of the product isn't quite good enough for them, so they tack on a couple more bucks just because they can….then, right at about that point, you're at the price places like these charge you.

Greed, the American way®

And as a consumer, it's your job to make cost benefit analyses about your purchases.

yup.

I *decide* what I want to pay for things, and if it is higher than what I've decided, I just don't buy it.

There are a few things I will pay a lot for.....ejuice isn't on that list though. :)

Btw: if anyone decides to order from Killer Juice... Don't make the mistake of ordering from another company called Killer Eliquid or Killer Liquid. Both are not good at all and people confuse them with Killer Juice which is a great juice company. Walt, the owner, gets calls from these other customers from those other companies and eventually realizes they weren't his customers but he fixes them up anyway. Great customer service with his company. He's an expert with flavors.

Elizabeth, what is the actual link to Killer Juice

I agree with the op somewhat, if they got rid of all that fancy packaging their juice would probably be half the price and taste the same but would they still have the same following of people who think cause it's so expensive its the best juice out there...My gut feeling tells me if their liquid was half the price, they would be just another vender..It's actually a smart move by them.....not saying their juice is bad by any means

Money talks and that includes mine. Offer me a quality product at what I consider a reasonable price and you'll hear from me. As for the OP... yeh, I get it. As vaping becomes more and more popular not only for health reasons but for economy, businesses will not stay afloat depending on noob business. Right now they have their niche but things will change with a greater experienced-shopper base.

And as a consumer, it's your job to make cost benefit analyses about your purchases. If $1 a ml is too much for your habits, then don't buy it. It's not their job to make juice at a price you're willing to pay, but a juice that enough people are willing to pay. If juices like Five Pawns are too much according to your usage, buy a cheaper liquid and stop complaining that they won't meet your needs.

BluegrassTubb,

my apologies if the spirit behind my message came across as complaining. That was not the point at all. Isn't that the whole point of forms like this, so folks with common interests and passions can voice their opinions, concerns, ideas and spark conversation, that may end up leading to something great. I did not say I was going to stop purchasing boutique juices, if that was the case, I would have not posted the photos of some of my empty bottles. More or less, I was trying to say that eventually, if companies "like" (FIVE PAWNS) don't start offering some sort of member or loyal customer perks, discounts or bulk purchases direct than eventually someone out there will learn how to manufacture comparable juice at a fraction of the cost. Offering loyal customers opportunities makes them feel like they are part of the family.

My friend Russ started a company here in Nashville called Vigilante Juice Co. His juice Skull & Cross Bones is they best juice I've never had, at $22.50 a bottle its not cheap, but not as bad as FIVE PAWNS. Now if someone were to clone his juice, because of my loyalty to him and the fact I believe in what he's doing, along with I know the quality of the product is always consistent, I will still buy from him. On the other hand for these other boutique companies around, if they don't start offering some sort of incentives for loyal customers, and 2 months from now, some college kid from MIT figures out how to bulk manufacture amazing juice, would I still purchase FIVE PAWNS, probably not.. It doesn't take much to make a customer feel appreciated.

( I would like to preface, I am not coming down on FIVE PAWNS. There juice is fantastic, I am only hoping that somewhere down the line, they will consider throwing in a loyalty program for faithful followers.)

You cannot compare the auto industry and E-Juice. A Mercedes is a Mercedes because the parts that make up the car are, 1. better quality, 2. better engineered 3. better manufactured. The Base substances in FIVE PAWNS (nicotine, PG / VG & FLAVORS) is most likely the same bases that other companies are using. As discussed later in this thread, somebody quoted (FivePawns would be 1/2 the price had they not stuck to their there ingenious marketing.) The concepts behind the art, labels and packaging caused an explosion, however I don't want all that fancy stuff, I simply want the juice, and at what point should I have to continue purchasing all the bells and whistles if they don't do it for me. When I purchase a car, I have the option to have it fully loaded or base. BlueGrass, I like how you think and are challenging me by pushing my buttons, but I am not trying to argue with you. Back to my last response, I more less wrote the thread wondering if anybody else was thinking the same way as I was. Should these companies offer consumer loyalty programs? Should these boutique companies sell bulk? Should you be able to purchase without the fancy song and dance labels and packaging? Some would say no, and everyone is in titled to his/her God given opinion. I am voicing mine and if they don't do something to give back to loyal customers somewhere down the line someone will be able to make the same product for a 1/4 of the cost, even if they reverse engineer to make it happen.

My father (God rest his soul) had always driven a Lexus. Although at times he considered going to BMW or other luxury cars, he stayed faithful, to Lexus for one reason, how they treated their customers.) He always had free oil changes, they gave him rental cars for free if something happened and every time he turned in his previous car from the past 2 years, the cost of his new lease believe it or not went down. The same principles should be applied to any business.

I was vaping halo tribecca as my adv, but that has been adding up... It honestly cost me about as much as cigs. I have since switched to quicknick RY4. Tobacco/caramel/vanilla/hazelnut goodness.

The $16 bucks for a shipped glass bottle/glass eye dropper, that has a safety seal doesn't hurt, either. I'm prob going to buy the 60ml bottle next time, cheaper per ml. They have a 120ml bottle, but it's plastic. :(

I can't bring myself to get a bigger bottle in plastic, until I have enough glass bottles to transfer it into to store.

its not about cars, Lexus's or Mercedes. Its about "it is your choice to choose to spend your money on what you think is relevant.' There is no way I would spend $30 to have some nicotine juice spill all over me all day. I would blow $1,000 on a purse made of great leather with hand made detail. My money, my choice.
Should these companies do that (sell cheaper)? Would you? If I found the secret to what some perceive is worth throwing money at would I market it? You betcha. The answer lies in not buying anything that is not worth YOUR dollar.
