Just got the E-Power in - couple of issues...the switch is stuck "on" ? so the battery is ALWAYS on.....and of course can't leave a carto on it cause it'll burn up.

Both batteries seem to drain VERY fast...as in, fully charged to green, put on carto (switch is stuck) take a couple quick hits, take apart, then put back together, take a couple quick hits, but then dead battery. Both are like this.

Weird????

CCV - called him and he's sending me a new switch ;-) Slightly disappointed because really wanted to play with this, but happy that he's sending me a new switch with no problems!! Great Customer Service!!

Quick question - I did get the resurrectors and put one on my Riva - it's pretty good, but I think I like my smok Tech Dual Coil LRs better - so, my question is, should I have any issues using the LR Dual Coil on the E-Power? I was thinking no, since I think the E-Power has enough voltage, but I wasn't sure (and when you buy the LR DCs, there's some lingo warning not to use them with certain types of batts so I want to be sure)...THanks!!

Thats def not normal. Ive seen that other thread too. I think you might have just got unlucky and got a bad switch. The new one should def fix it. Ive never heard of a problem like the other thread had. Ive been using my original for quite awhile and havent had the slightest problem. I got mine from CCV too.

Everyone has their preference with cartos. Both are great. Im the opposite of you. I found I like the Ressurectors much more than the Smoketech Dual Coils. The DCs dulled the flavors of my juice and I hate that they drain your battery so fast. Plus I find the Ressurectors produce pretty much just as much vapor as the DCs even though they are single coil. But everyone has their preference!

The Dual Coils will work no problem on the E-Power. Ive found that the E-Power has been able to easily handle anything I throw at it.

A little worried - I was googling this and found this thread (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...236864-e-power-wont-turn-off.html#post4587961 - should have searched first before posting a new one I know) - but anyway, the OP in that thread got a new switch and that didn't work :( Not sure what the problem was but now worried I have the same issue, lol!
Don't fret , I used an E-Power as my second or third PV , and I never had any issues with the button . The vendor you bought it from , didn't make it , just selling it . And is standing behind what he sells . So your good to go . And yes you can use any of those carto's on the E-Power . Good that you had a Riva to fall back on , till you get the new switch . Happy vaping .

Yes, I'm glad I have the Riva, and REALLY glad I bought a third batt when I bought the Riva - 'cause the hubby and I are having to share until we get the new switch ;-)

Although I must also admit: Only been vaping a week and I'm already looking at all sorts of new PVs to try ;-)

That's a shame. I hope your next switch works. And I recommend then getting a spare switch. The switch is the most compicated piece of E-Power (has the power regulation circuits) and I have heard of some having problems with them.

I have several $20 plastic box mods - not very durable (can crack if dropped, especially the clear/colored plastic ones) and 14500 batteries have less charge than 14650, but certainly simple and functional. There are several plastic mod box makers in Buying & Selling... Modders & Accessories. And also check Foxy Box Mods on the web. Or you can get precut kits to make your own at Madvapes.com.

And the ECF Classified often have tempting offers on slightly used mods of all kinds.

I can't imagine it's a trend, really, but it is odd that you and at least one other person are having similar issues. I got an ePower from CCV over a month ago and have not had a single issue with it (Yay!). But the other person having a similar issue had also gotten a new switch and continued having the problem. I had asked if they switched batteries as well, but they hadn't answered.

You, however, have tried different batteries it seems and are still having the issue. So...hoping that for you it IS the switch and it will get fixed up because the ePower really is a nice little PV.

As for looking around at new PVs/MODs...yeah. I keep napkins handy for all the drooling I find myself doing!

Also it is possible you are having to change the batterys so often because many units have built in protection so if you hold down the battery more then x seconds it will shut off. I have also found that the PCB on many batterys will do the same thing if the battery overheats. Either one could be causing it to turn off seeming like the battery is dead. Hopefully your new button will fix all of your issues.

Unfortunately, the e-powers (all 3 models) have switch issues. You would have been better off getting an all mechanical mod but the downfall for one is the price...upside, no switch to fail and will last you a lifetime. The e-powers are okay but not something that I really cared for. I enjoy HV vaping so stacking batteries is a plus for me. I can't do it with an e-power. I even bought a 5V switch for the 18650 but couldn't get either of the 2 I bought to screw on. Solution...I got rid of them. Nice inexpensive mod but just not what I was hoping for.

Problem is many bought based on the misbelief they were getting a true mod. A mod yes but at the lower end. Lots of pumping lately for this particular device and I'm Hoping not too many have this problem. Very glad I paid the extra for the real McCoy.

The all mechanical mods have their fair share of switch problems too. They have to be cleaned and filed down on a regular basis because of oxidation and arcing. One of the mods from super-t manufacturing has rhodium plated contacts and that should last a while.

Concerning the e-power, I think it's a factory issue with the regulator circuits. I've also seen several threads about switch failures on rivas, kgos, etc.

Its really like anything else. No ecig is perfect. They all have some problem of another. Hopefully one day there is, but there def isnt now. The E-Power can have occasional switch problems, the eGo tanks can leak and fry mosfets with LRs, etc. Overall I still think its a good PV for the price. Its obviously not going to be as good as a 100-200 dollar PV but I think its a quality PV to get you started. And when its works, it works great

I havent had the slightest problem with my E-Power yet, but even if I had to buy a new switch every month (Im hoping I dont have to!) I still really cant complain. Their under $10 bucks, Id spend about that for a pack of cigs EVERYDAY. So im willing to take that trade off

That was me and the new switch did not fix the problem. The only thing left is the spring. I'm just not sure if I need one that's weaker or stronger.
