So I've had a KGO 1100mah for over a month, and pleased with the performance. A coworker has a E-Power 14650. Neither of us had tried the other, so we traded for a night at work to see what we thought of the other.
Both of us had no problem with battery life or power thru the night (we work 3rd shift),so the operation of both seemed equal. So basically we where both pleased with each PV.
Now to the negative we found with each.
He didn't like that you had to charge the PV instead of swapping batteries. Said it was easier to carry one PV and two batteries. Also when time to replace batteries, would have to replace complete PV. But he liked the feel of the KGO.
I didn't like that his didn't have a 5 click shut off (don't know if all are like this,or only his style). As it fired a few times in my shirt pocket. Agree that it would be cheaper to by just battery, unless you had to replace switch also. Then the comparison narrows. Plus if replacing parts, just get a complete new unit for not much more.
So I can say, i can recommend them both equally. As the performance and battery life seems on par.
The only thing that might be a concern is the 5 click off with the E-power,which I don't know if they are all this way.
