I would buy one also, how I see it is yes, it has some "imperfections", but it is already part of the history of The GG.

I would be happy with a 3008 GG.

As ZeroOhms said, it would be perfect as a device for test our polishing abilities, a device to make our restoration experiments, or simply keep it as a collectible and rare GG.

After looking at the pics again I will definitely pay, Imeo. If for no other reason than helping you get back some of the money you put into it :), we don't have to tell anyone hehe.

It'll be TeamGGs dirty little secret :)

I think the same way as you, Brenetics.
I would pay for one of these tubes, polish it like hell for my own pleasure and help Imeo too.
I think a win-win situation

Think about it, Imeo

I dont know what the did there but these tubes will go to trush. I will throw 2500 euros and that is a pain too but the most important is that you were waiting for them and you will get nothing now.

Next time and when I order from people that I dont know their work, I will make announsments only after the batch is made

Imeo, i can understand that you can´t sell these as Golden Greek. It is not GG standart !
but
Can´t you sell them as non GG Itmes to us, please !!! they look cool and uncool at the same time. i must say i would like to get one and polish it to its death and even pay money for it .

i know you won´t sell anything below gg standart, but then don´t sell them, just give them to us for your own costs.

Make a short Preorder List here, i think noone who buys one here wil ever complain about them. and you will also see how we all bring them to life! i am just thinking of Captain Steves polishing routine...

Buddy I see what you mean but let me propose a possible solution for you. From what I saw from the pictures the main problem is the finish which IMHO can be fixed. I advise take a few of these tubes to the guy you have in Athens who does the polishing and let him do a light polish/buff of a few tubes as a trial and see how they look after polishing.
From what I can see from the pictures they can be fixed with a good polishing.

now check the other ones

So, the steps would be
1) Pre order list
2) Purchase/Distribute from ESG
3) most important! Buffing and polishing lessons from Capt and other experts here. :D
4) Beauty contest

I am getting all excited just making this list.

BTW, I always thought GG community was awesome, but you all are really awesome!

I insist.
The quality of the engraving is fabulous!!!
The "black beauty" could be a little less "black" but as Capt said... you can fix it.
Anyway..... I definitely want one... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just looked the photos more closely. Looks like they are just imperfection in finish. I would definitely buy one and can see having tons of fun with it. I am going to buy another one from later batch anyway, but I really want to get this one as well.
I totally understand how you don't want to release product that aren't at "GG" quality. But you have been upfront and discussed in full detail (with picture) and wanted them thrown away. WE are the ones who wants them. So, I don't think you will have problem with people mistaking these for finished product.

+1. I'd certainly have one too...
