Congrats on your non smoking!

If I had to choose between the two you mentioned, I'd look at the Provari. You can get "blems" on provape's site for $150 plus shipping. In terms of construction, the Provari is 100000 times better than the evic. The evic does have VW, but that's about all it has over the Provari. If cost is an issue, I'd skip the Evic entirely and "just get a vamo."

You will not be disappointed with the provari or vamo. I own high end gear and I use my vamo daily. I use it more than my Provari actually...

fasttech is a good place to get them. I've ordered three Vamos from them without problems.

So you are saying even at Best price Evic $74.95 Complete
Provari Blem (device Only) for $150 is worth $7495000.00:facepalm:

Yet you prefer your Vamo over both

So, in terms of Vapability is the Vamo 100,000 times better than the Provari?
Man I better go get a Vamo.................oh wait......I have one......somewhere.......Aha under the IGO-L
Nice for flavor testing - Prefer Evic for convenience/Function and reduced size/weight.
Love being able to make micro adjustments for best flavor.;)

Hmmmmmm............Later

I've had my evic for about 2 months and so far it's been fairly problem free. Only one issue I've had is that it randomly turns off. Not sure if it's the sleep feature kicking in, or a loose electrical connection. I've had no problems with it on.

My old coworker had the provari, and I will say it's probably the best built PV out there, definitely worth the cost.

If you want something cheaper to start off with look into the Vamo. I had a Vamo V2 and just got a V3. I know the swirling on the Vamo v3 may look hideous in pictures but in person I actually prefer the V3 looks. Plus the new OLED screen and the fact that you can unscrew the top around the connector for easy cleaning easily makes the V3 a better buy over the v2 Vamo.

Mine turns off randomly too. It's the spring. If you knock the bottom by setting it down too hard or by some other means, it will break the connection and you'll have to turn it back on.

Ah, by "money is not an issue" I meant I can buy one of the two. If I could buy both I would have no problems at doing so. ^^

Have a few Mods, e.g. Ego's, SVD, Vamo's and Provari, and though they function similarly, My Provari is just a better feel and consistent Mod. Also some built is safety features is a major plus. :2c:

Hmm it's definitely the battery losing connection. I just tested this out and it did it. I think it's the top of the battery losing connection and not the bottom since I can turn the evic on with the cap halfway screwed in. When I'm not to lazy I'll swap in one of my button top batteries and see if it does the same thing.

Yes, it is the weight of the battery. You can slightly stretch the spring to eliminate most of it.
I feel Joyetech didn't want a spring so stiff it would make attaching the bottom cap overly difficult.

Never seen this in 18350 mode - lighter battery.

I say if you really want a provari, just go for it. When I had decided I was going to upgrade I really wanted a provari, but I felt it was maybe too expensive so I went for an evic. I like the evic, it's a great pv, but long story short, a week later I bought a provari.
Now I still use the evic once in a while, but I love my provari and if I were to do it again I'd just have skipped the evic and gone for the provari.
In fact I loved it so much, I bought a 2nd one that was on sale in the clearance section on provape. I have a few different pvs now, and I do use them all from time to time, but the provari is always my go to device.

i've gotten my Evic and all i can say is i love it!. I'm setting it up with my Vivi Novas, experimenting flavors likes and dislikes. Looking forward to get my hands on the Kanger Pro Tank

Get the protank, they make vivis obsolete

This is a serious Sunday... I've gone through one 2600 mAH 18650 battery and 5ml (two 2.5 ml ProTanks) of 50/50/24 mg juice, so far. Now at 2/3 ProTank and 98% (second) battery on the eVic and have been hitting it hard today (except for church this morning). I think I'm going to kill myself with the REO Grand and it's 6ml bottle and 18650 battery (I have 3 batteries for it). No problems with the eVic (2.6 ohms at 8 watts). The REO with a 6ml tank and 0.5 ohm micro coil on an RB2 is going to put all these to shame (IMO, at this point).

Exactly, the spring in the evic is too soft, so when you knock the mod, the battery sinks down and loses connection with the top. Super annoying. I read that some people took the spring out an stretched it a bit, then put it back in. I also saw some people replaced it with the spring from a silver bullet.

Spring is Definitely NOT to soft. Simple physics. When a heavy weight is applied to a spring it will compress. If the spring was any stiffer people would complain how hard the cap was to install.

Spring compression only occurs during an impact. If you can inhale while plopping the PV onto a table top, you are awesome. I prefer keeping my teeth in my mouth.

Oh, and I have read several times about the Provari doing the exact same thing. Guess what the fix was............. Stretch the spring.:D

I'm sorry, but this is not my experience. I've vaped 60 ml + on my eVic without this problem. The battery is more than as tight as it needs to be.
