Yesssss, this. This was why mine was having trouble. I pulled my plastic cap up a little bit, now it wicks a lot better and works a while lot better. Thank you so much.
Is the gurgling problem happening only with the Apollo or is the Super Excalibur having the same issue?
I'm just starting on my second day (first fill) with the Super Excalibur and so far it's working great and I'm very impressed. Full flavor, no plasticky taste, easy to fill, no carto, unique look, no leaking, no gurgling, not airy draw.........keeping fingers crossed!

I've had the gurgling with both of them. It is really funny though because mine only starts after a refill or in case of the first one it was several refills before it started. When it gets bad enough to bother me I clean it and it's good for a tank or two.
Well, tomorrow would have been one week of using these tanks for me.
In that time I had one that the wick burnt, both developed gurgles and tonight the inner thread at the top of one tank pulled out as I was filling it with fresh juice.
They were never dropped, over tightened, or abused in any way, they just aren't made well.
I'm done with these. I love the option to buy replacement parts, but these parts need replacing too soon and too often.
I haven't tried the e2, but I have used the e1 revive. After a few days I had gurgling too. Make sure the top ring & bottom base are screwed down firmly (carefully, the e1 plastic is thin). I think the ring pushes down on the atty cylinder and helps it seat firmly, stopping leaks and gurgling (at least it did for me). Good luck.
Thanks for the tip! It seems to be working for me so far. Mine started leaking after a few days and nothing seemed to help so I just set it aside. Today I decided to give one last chance and happened to see your post. I took it all apart, re-filled and made sure the caps were screwed on very tight. It's only been an hour but so far so good. Maybe I just wasn't tightening the caps enough.....???
Mookie, any gurgling on the e2 yet? I was texting Rubber City Vapors (they carry the e1, e2 & e3) & the owner commented on how solidly the tank was built. So now I want one too!

That center bright circle is the bottom of the drip tip & the dark circle is the o-ring? It has to sit on top of the silicone cap without sliding down the sides? Well, it looks like it's the hardware store for me. Thanks.
