Can't seem to figure out why my E2 ceramic cartos keep giving me a burnt plastic taste.

Filled both holes inside with .4ml of PG juice, after dry burning for about 10 secs to be safe. There isn't suposed to be any primer or glue, so dry burning wasent really nessesary. I'm pretty sure I filled them correctly, and I get lots of vapor, just it all has a strange plastic taste to it.

I'm Using a Joye eGo 510 batt.

I'm sorry if this has been covered in on eo f the other threads, I've searched through them, but can't seem to figure out whats wrong.

Alright, I think I'm just not giving it time to wick. (I'm a chain vaper) I've just started dripping a drop right down the center when it start tasting burnt, and I'm golden. Still a wierd flavor addaed to the vape, but not a burnt taste anymore.
I know that the older revisions don't do well with higher voltage, so that may have something to do with it.

Forgive my noobishness lol ^_^

if you bought them in the U.S. it's possible that they're not the real r4

it's also possible that the inner ring (the cup lid) is pinching the wick, regardless of which R version you have

(one of my r4 cartos even had some light-green junk on the lower part of the wick...so I have no idea when the r4 will be a real r4, and most importanly: consistenly)

The ohm rating on these makes a huge difference in how your juice tastes. A 2.6 Ω E2 at 3.7v is way too harsh for me, but at 2.8v it's perfect. It's good that they offer several different ohm varieties to choose from, but it means that everyone is going to have to experiment a little to find what they like. In the meantime a 2.8-3 Ω carto should be good starting point for anyone using an eGo or standard 510 battery.

Geez I hope so. Just ordered 100 510XL's (mixed colors) and some vGos (shipped on Friday). Hopefully in a week I'll be part of the 'r4' crowd. I can then use my last few r3.5's for bottle mods. Man those suckers run hot.

Okay. I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I can't see how to order from Royalsmokers. I don't see any "order" link. There site is so "busy", am I just overlooking it?

Do they accept paypal?

Help!

thx

The shop is at e-liquid.cn

On the Royal site there is a link hidden I think about 2/3 the way down the page on the right, but just go to the above address.

If you ordered 100 of them, they should definitely be R4 "Final". Do the inner rings have the two notches? Maybe you are tasting the rubber.

I dont taste a plastic taste at all after soaking them in hot water.
Even if they have no primer or glue, they should still be washed to remove any leftover garbage during manufacturing. I'm pretty sure RS dont wash them.

WOW...this has to be my problem. I switched from Green Smokes to the eGo USB PT (I have a regular Riva kit on order from Liberty Flights). I get a very inconsistent vaping experience with the 2.5 ohms I got from vaperite.com when I ordered everything and it has cost me so much time and frustration trying to track down the problem. I think Todd thinks I am crazy but he drips exclusively and he doesn't follow the forum closely so I don't know if he can appreciate what's been up with these.

badkolo told me it appears I got something you guys have nicknamed the 'bastomizer' as my fill ring is NOT a RING but some sort of silcone sealing around the cup, you can't remove that 'ring'. I was goign to try some mods, etc., but I couldn't do a thing because of that seal.

Can anyone tell me about the 'bastomizer'? It has to have been bad to have gotten that nickname. It was sent to me as an E2 R4 but I would imagine it isn't a true R4 vaperite sent me.
