arjay how did you order mixed colors? I don't see that option on their website.

Banjo, I sent an email before I ordered and asked if I could get mixed colours, and I stipulated . . .

s it possible to get mixed colors in an order for 100
(3 Ohm) 510XL C-E2's (r4). For example ...

20 Black
20 Red Wine
20 Green
20 Blue
20 Stainless Steel

If so, how do I do it.

I am a member of ECF (arjay55) and I am a little concerned with getting the right version cartomizers for my eGo.

Got a reply 10 minutes later . . .

Colors can be mixed , the Version are R4, just checkout and in ht comments you can write down the colors you prefer.
In case you forget , you also can separate email to here with your order number, than we adjust it for you .
Greets
Miranda

I also did this a 2 days later . . .

Instead of the 3 x 1300mah 510-megaVGO's currently on my order would you change it to .....

2 x 510 1300mah mega-VGO's &
1 x 808-D 1300mah mega-VGO's

And got this reply . . .

You can send email to my this email add.
We can change it for you.
Best Regards,
Lisa/MC & RS Sales

Now you know why they shipped my order so fast. (Ordered 19th - shipped 22nd) They wanted me to stop pestering them with order changes. Can't blame them either.

BTW - It doesn't actually mean I'll get what I ordered, but one can hope. Should know by Friday. I'll keep you posted.

Can't seem to figure out why my E2 ceramic cartos keep giving me a burnt plastic taste.

Filled both holes inside with .4ml of PG juice, after dry burning for about 10 secs to be safe. There isn't suposed to be any primer or glue, so dry burning wasent really nessesary. I'm pretty sure I filled them correctly, and I get lots of vapor, just it all has a strange plastic taste to it.

I'm Using a Joye eGo 510 batt.

I'm sorry if this has been covered in on eo f the other threads, I've searched through them, but can't seem to figure out whats wrong.

I vape on an eGo and my XL 510 E2 ceramic cartos from COV (modded with PTB) are Heaven on Earth. You 'must' allow them to 'wick'... so vape more slowly... and I recommend doing the 'dry burn' before refilling and be sure to rinse them out really well with hot water and dry them well prior to that refill.

You should be able to remove that inner ring/seal, just pop it out using a thin screwdriver.

Once you take it out, take a photo of it and attach it to your post.

Or if you definitely cant take it out, take a photo of the ring/seal.

I was finally able to take a jewler's screwdriver and run along the upper cup until I could feel it hit the slot, then lifted up...thanks.

I have one carto out of five that seems fairly consistent (well maybe about 80 percent of the time) on vapes. It makes a world of difference to tilt the battery up when vaping (but ideally shouldn't have to go through that). I am getting some 3.0 ohm XL E2 cartos in this week and I understand they may solve this burnt taste issue. Another thread with experienced e2 carto users has discovered that the way to go with an eGo and possibly all 3.7 v (actually the eGo is 3.3) is the 3 ohm cartos.

I have the final R4s 3.0 ohms and my reg 510 was wonderful until all of a sudden it died last night. I decided to try an XL and it has a burnt disgusting taste to it. I'm using a Riva bettery.

Is it the difference in the sizes or is it still a matter of quality control? I am so disappointed after enjoying the reg sized one sooooo much. :(

I don't have any R4 XL's to compare my standards against but I've found the taste on the shorter ones to be better in general. I've read that some of the XL's have wicks that are too short and even if they aren't, the juice has further to travel which could affect performance.

In my office now and too lazy to go upstairs, but when I do, I'm going to try out another short one. If I can consistently get such good flavor as I had with the last one, having to refill more often is worth it.

BTW...so happy I decided to try both sizes as I had the xls before in 2.5 ohms.

An easy way to determine if you have Revision4 is by looking for the notches on the inner cap. Anything prior to R4 didn't have the notches.

If you have R3.x, you may be tasting the primer fluid on the wick, or sealant/glue on the base of the pole. In which case you will need to soak them in boiling water).

If you have R4, they shouldn't taste bad unless you are tasting the rubber sleeve from just under the cup (which is why I always soak mine in boiling water just in case). Or if you are using a 3.7v battery, it may be burning the juice (indicated by hot vapor).

I find that using a 3.3v battery with the highest 3.2ohm Carto's taste best. The juice burns too easily using 3.7v imo

I use a eGo PT (most of the time it is not attached to the port on the computer). People say its a 3.7 but actually I think its a 3.2 or 3.3. But yeah I do think it runs the juice hot for whatever reason and the higher ohm caros might help things alot.

Thanks for the piccy on the fill ring. Yeah I have the slots.

I'm back using a regular size ce2 r4 at 3ohms with a Riva battery and once again, I'm in vaping heaven. :)

I also want to note, that I am experiencing the best battery life with these regular ce2r4 cartos than with anything else I've used...attys, mega attys, reg cartos and mega cartos.

At this point I'm pretty convinced the regular 510's at 3Ω are the sweet spot for these performance-wise. I've been concentrating so hard on the taste and performance of these I haven't really paid attention to battery life but I believe you're right - I have to hold the button down for a shorter time to get a good draw on these and I do notice my batteries are lasting longer as a result.

I've noticed better battery life since r2 as well. I think 'banjo's right, they produce better w/ shorter drags, less time pressing the button or drawing w/ an auto.

'banjo', I see you reached veteran status and are soon to reach a year w/o smoking. I got to both this past Monday myself. Congrats!

Thank you for giving an explanation as to why my batteries are getting better life. It makes sense!

Another comment about size, although this is cosmetic. The xl ones look funny with my Riva/Ego when you put the cone on, it comes up too high and looks awkward. The regular are a bit too short and my lips kept hitting the cone. I added a drip tip and it is just right. :)

(Happy Vaping Puppy Here!!!!!)

And on edit...I just realized also that I'm not sucking on it to death and vaping more like smoking real cigarettes with breaks in between...that adds to the battery life too. :)

Wow started this thread just before i left for vacation, I'm surprised with the number of responses now that I'm back. TY everyone for the helpful info.

I have been using these for a week straight during my vacation, much of which was spent on an atv, or hiking through the mountains. ( Not Ideal for dripping, which is my norm) Anyway I've noticed that cartos add a little something to my flavors, but it was just the RY1 that tasted like plastic. My other flavors: Ark tobacco, peanut butter, and a couple others tasted fine, different than dripping, but not unpleaseant.

I soaked them in alcohol, then rinsed and left them to soak overnight in hot water, we'll see if it's any different after they dry out.

Thanks again for all the input ^_^

I've spent a ton of money over the last year and built up quite a collection of well, everything! Taking the time and making the effort to learn about these e-cig things has really paid off. You can read about them all day long (which I've done plenty of times), but I think you really have to get out there and buy some stuff as well to get a feel for it. I can't say I'll break even this first year from the money I've saved on cigarettes, but I guarantee I'll be ahead by next October. :)

Congrats yourself on making it a year... feels good, don't it?

Talk about by some stuff. I sure have. But compared to buying smokes, I think I'm still in front. Our smokes are up to $17.50 a pack of 25. That buys a lot of vapeing gear and juice.

OK Maybe I am overdoing it a little :)

Nah! I wouldn't say that. :)

I estimate I've spent between 4-5 thousand dollars on e-cigs, mods, juice and accessories since last August ('09) (heck, I had to spend 3 grand at Heaven-gifts alone just to reach 'gold' status). That's roughly what my wife and I were spending on cigarettes in a year's time). Now I'm just down to the occasional mod, a few carto shipments now and then, and whatever juice we go through. I don't regret a penny of it. :)

I thought about taking some pictures of my "collection", but it's spread out in so many places around the house it would be a chore just to drag it all out.
