unless yu have a multimeter the only way to tell is to email cov and ask them but so far as turbo pointed out everyone so far has said 2.5 ohm, thats to low for 3.7, you can first remove the inner plugs, that will help, then you can fluff the wick at the slits by lifting them and loosening them a little. if that doesnt help then the only thing i know that helps is cutting off the wick and adding some ptb like n my video. if its a r4 you dont need to fold it many time, just twice the long way and once the short way.

i dont compare these to cartomizers, they are atomizers plain and simple, and since thats the case the initial hassle of having to fill it or give it a quick dry burn is nothing compared to what i have to go through with a new atomizer with primer and wick inside that i usually remove, i made a video last night with 306 atomizers and it took longer to dry burn the primer off on it then it did to fill a e2 and give it a 10 second dry burn.
so all in all im extremly happy with the r4, is it perfect, no, but neither are old cartomizers and atomizers and to be honest the r4 outshines them both in most aspects.

COV claims "They are 2.5 oHM and really put out the vapor at 3.7v." (on their site)
So, I assume they are incorrect? If so, then where can I get REAL XL R4's for my Provape2 (3.7v) at the oHMs you recommend ?
Okay guys took out both inside rings and broke half of the cup( don't think that's a good thing) but it tastes better. I'm still learning. I filled two this morning and the one with the tiramisu is the only one that tastes burnt. Could it just be that one the butter rum one tastes fine and is vaping great.(so far)
they do put out vapor but obviously people are getting a wicking issue at that volt, its happening time and time again, then they try the 2.5 ohm on a 3.3 volt or lower and it doesnt experience these issues that much, thats why when we use a variable device with the 2.5 ohms they seem to wick proper at 2.8 volts to 3.1 volts.
thats the experience many have had, then we use a higher ohm 2.9 or 3.0 ohm e2 and they wick so much better at 3.7 volts, my 3.1 ohm works great at 4.2 volts.
everyone uses different juices so they will react differently but im pretty sure the ohms is a main issue, when i ump up the volt son my variable i can replicate the bad taste instantly and then i can get it o wrok proper again by lowering the volts.
and while the 2.5 ohm produces vapor so does the 2.7 ohm and 2.8 ohm and the 2.9 ohm and the 3.0 ohm, they all produce huge vapir and you can clearly see that in my videos since i have used them in at many ohms and voltages.
As to where to get them, I dont know who has the proper ohm'd ones other then buying them direct. i still have some samples to send out so you can drop you addy in my pm and if i have enough to spare ill shoot you a couple.

i had the same experience and the higher ohm fixed that. i know it sounds crazy but its cooking the juice way to much combines with slow wicking at that ohm and walla you end up with that taste.
What's funny is that RoyalSmokers suggests 2.8-3 ohms for 3.7v vaping but e-liquid.cn doesn't even offer that range. You can order 2.6-2.8 and hope yours are on the high side, or 3-3.2 and hope yours are on the low side. My current order is for the 3-3.2 ohm 510's and I'll be curious to see how they actually meter.
well i have not found a 3.2 ohm's one yet, i thought i did but nope, all are 3.0 with very few at 3.1 and many at 2.9
So by dry burn do you just activate the battery or do you suck and just not inhale?

do not inhale the dry burn, you remove the inner plugs and press the button for 10 seconds, let it burn off , then give it a quick 5 second burn a few seconds after and you should be good to go with the r4.

So Bad was awesome and sent me 2 R4s to try out...one was an 808 and umm I don't have a 901 battery so errr.....my eGo is almost as big as my Buzz...yes it feels ridiculous to vape but damn it tastes good
