i think the vgo is a 4.2 battery, my kr808's are

The vGo battery is 3.7 volts, same as the KR808. They charge at 4.2 volts, begin working at 3.7 volts and taper off from there just like any other e-cigarette battery that is not regulated. The 510, eGo, Riva, Hello, etc. batteries are regulated. They have a headroom of 3.7 volts, but regulate at 3.1 volts until the charge drops below that.

So far, the KR8 R4 that I am using right now is working better than the first one. On a KR8 battery it vapes well for about half the reservoir before the wick begins to run dry. It seems to wick a bit better on the lower voltage of a 510 battery. In other words, it wicks just like most of the older XL's that I have tried. Of coarse, that's with the battery pointed down while in use. Naturally, it does okay when vaped in the horizontal position or thereabouts. The greatest advantage that I see in the R4's so far is that they do not leak. But then, the R3.75 that I tested did not leak either.

BTW, the one I am using right now has a lot neater wound coil of 7 turns.

Ok, well the vgos and kr808d batteries are excellent, I'm absolutely not going to go high voltage mod just because the 3.1ohm cartos have too much resistance when 2.7ohm has been perfect, but Br that's something new to me, so I wonder if they just didn't give the 7th loop :(
Why did Br get a 7th loop and I didn't?

By the way, there is now a thread near this one, on videos and tips on how to
take the E2 apart and ut it back together :)

the link is here:

The only thing is that the reason I said replace the cup is because it's so much easier to screw and unscrew the cup which would already contain the coil, than to replace the coil by plugging in the two legs. It's possible, but maybe both options should be available, I keep in mind and think of the coil as fragile, so I don't really want to bend it out of shape while plugging in the legs.

Replaceable cup is a good idea too. I likey!

Only issue would be replacement cost. CoiledWick would only be small coil and wick cost, as opposed to a threaded contact cup + coil + wick.

should i continue with the review tips and tricks in this thread or do you guys want a new thread for the r4

I don't think it will make much difference where you put it, bad. The same old people will eventually migrate to it and discuss the same old things. This thread is dedicated to the E2 Revision 4 Cartomizer, but how many posts have there been so far that get off into other stuff, including half vast ideas about something completely different?

now while maybe for you and me its a non issue and we dont mind waiting others dont feel the same and others are paying the price for it, even now the r4 is out yet there is 5 versions of semi R4's floating around so i doubt these brilliant ideas are doing any good.

I didnt know there were 5 versions! I just ordered a 5 pack from CoV. What are the 5 different versions? I know of the bastomizers (3.75), the ones with filler inside, and the "good" ones. What are the other 2? Also, do you know what version CoV is sending out now, or is it just random?

Cov is selling r4's they are at 2.5 ohms and are working great on my ego

So you tested the Vgo under load 'br'?

I was about to send one off to 'scottbee' to test. If that's the case then it's in a class of it's own of the ego clones.

By the way, to keep this on the r4, I'm now trying a 510 XL r4. It's a prefilled one and so far is doing great; no bad taste, wicking well.

Special people get special things, John. This one is very special because the 3 center loops glow before the ones on the end do. That's because each end touches the ceramic cup. These two factors should keep you busy for a spell while contemplating the ramifications of the E2 Cartomizer.

Yes, COV is selling the TRUE R4's. Got some in last week and took 1 apart just to make sure. It turns out that some vendors are getting in what they are told are R4's, but in fact are Pre-R4's with Filler and Glue.

is a super e2 user friendly for the everyday new vapor, thats the question.

the masses wont want to fiddle around, they will want to fill and vape and chuck it away, not clean it, not change coils.

when u buy a pack of smokes, you open it and smoke a cig and throw it out.

I'm with Bad on this! I dont like cleaning cartos any more than I like cleaning anything else. I've actually been really frustrated with cartos. I just started vaping and I must say carto frustration is BY FAR the biggest annoyance for myself and other noobs I know.

I didn't mean to mislead you, Turbo. I haven't tested the vGo. I'm just going by reports that it is a 3.7 volt battery, which it obviously must be since it was designed for use with a 3Ω KR808 cartomizer. I expect that it will work very much like the eGo that Scottbee modified for 3.7 volts.

Sounds good about your R4. I'm hoping to find one in my batch that will be outstanding.
