Thanks, chadsmo. The eBDP pretty much seals it for me with regard to silica based delivery devices. It's been a steady progression of positive steps for myself.

I'm going to rethink the way I build my genesis wicks. SS wire rope with a silica sock at the deck may be the way to go.

- Andy

I just fought with my first wire rope / mesh sleeve build over the course of a few nights. I finally got it to stop hot spotting , but I think I'll get some of that Nextel sleeving or 3mm Eco wool for next time.

Yeah, I have tinkered with #500 SS mess wrapped around the SS wire rope at the hot deck. To me, it tasted the same as a straight mess wick.

May not ever get there, but hoping to get my gennies to taste like my silica based RBAs.

Yeah it tastes the same, but it just wicks super good. I keep wanting to love my genesis, (maybe cause it's the cool kids vape) but I think I'm on he cusp of being done with with them. Gonna order my terminator c v2 tomorrow.

To finish off the off topic discussion I ordered my Term-c V2 today. 79.79 after shipping and taxes. Pretty stoked.

Back on topic, Andy after day two with the eBDP have you even touched your other attys ?

chadsmo, you will absolutely enjoy the T C V2. I have a 2nd one on the way from Stormy's including an extra ceramic cup assembly. This one will be held for safe keeping. COV charges 2x the monies for the same.

Todd's review of the Term C is very telling, as compared to the GG Odysseus.

Yes, moving back on topic . . . With the exception of setting up another Diver, I have only used the eBDP for the past 2 days.

The eBDP is everything that I would expect a silica based dripping atty to be and more. I say silica based, because I have made SS mess and hybrid wicks for my IGO-Ls and the flavor is not quite there.

Armed with a provari mini, topped with the eBDP, and a small 10 ml bottle of juice, I spent yesterday morning at my archery club. With the eBDP stored in the side compartment of my field quiver, it travels quite well. When filling was required, I simply added 8 to 10 drops, as the others were scoring points and pulling arrows.

I have used it while driving, out shopping for groceries, etc. It is an all day device, I have come to discover. I have learned when to add additional juice, so as not to be caught dry at inopportune moments. When routine filling is not an option, I have my other silica based tank type devices.

As I have noted early on, dripping holds a certain elegance in the whole vaping experience for me. The eBDP brings that to the top of that experience with its juice capacity and gorgeous looks, when mounted on a provari.

Nothing brings out the flavor of juices better than direct dripping.

Sweet! My extra Diver's ceramic cups appear to be the same as the eBDP's.

On another note, as I was tinkering. I noticed that if the eBDP's NR negative wire is not properly trapped between the top and the base unit, the resistance bounces all over the place. I have readings from 2.0 to 2.9, until I retrapped/wedged the NR wire.

I hope this helps, as I recall someone had this issue.

As I have started making DIY e-liquids, I have a couple bottles of old purchased pre-made juices, which have lost their flavor in my other delivery devices. Out of curiosity, I tried one in the eBDP. The flavor is some 80% of what they were. I will finish these 2 partial bottles in the eBDP and my IGO-Ls.

As I have 2 provari minis, the eBDP will find permanent residency on one of them.

Thanks to everyone for their eBDP input. The said has afforded me to reach another vaping level.

My eBDP has been seeing heavy use this last week, as I have received a lot of juices from a lot of vendors, and I have been trying them as they steep.

Almost all these juices are 100% VG and low nic (max 12mg, mostly 0mg or 6mg). I find I have to replace the coil every 1-2 days to retain maximum flavor. I don't mind at all, as I can now build a coil in a couple of minutes, and always have half a dozen built.

As I am waiting for the Giants/Braves' game to start, I have made 6 extra coils for the eBDP. Had to save a some cups for the Divers, as I make those assemblies with a slightly different silica wick combination.

I will try Blix's torch to clean method with my butane torch and see how that works, later today.

When I get down to one in my Killer and one in my eBDP and 2 spares I sit down and build the other 14 lol. It takes me a while, but then I don't need to worry for a few weeks.

I've been thinking of getting a Killer with a tank. I assume the Killer will need a coil swap on a daily basis just like the eBDP. If I have to swap out coils every day or two, this would mean having to empty the tank to change the coil, which would be laborious, having to use a syringe to remove remaining liquid.

With my current to-go setup, a Kanger Protank base with Tatroe SS top, I can change the coil/wick insert without emptying the tank. Believe it or not, I am getting similar performance out of the Protank/Tatroe setup as with the eBDP.

I purchased the ribbed Tatroe SS tank back in mid May. I have been rebuilding the heads using a single strand of 2mm silica wick. I think that the said set-up performs much better than my 2 other protanks.

Having noted the above, direct dripping still affords me the best flavor and vapor performance over my other delivery devices, regardless of which dripping atty I use.
