Hi. I thought that innokin was demanding that they sell for no less than $65?

eBay Sellers are not effected by market laws which discourage/ban price gouging for fast sales. In many cases you will see very expensive items originally listed at a Starting Price of 99 cents. This is to fan the flames in hopes of a bidding war on higher priced items. At any rate, $48 doesn't seem unreasonable for an MVP 2.0, but I agree with all the statements regarding.

1.) Always ALWAYS read the description very carefully. Sellers are required to describe every nuance of an item they are listing. Discrepancies are merit for returns, among others. Sellers are also required to supply their own photos for all auctions unless a UPN/ISBN details addon exists on eBay already.

2.) Read their feedback. Especially if they have negative feedback, click on those few and read what the buyers have to say. Many times an eBay seller simply cannot sell as many items as they do for as many years without gathering some unnecessary negative feedback, especially when buyers become impatient and send feedback before allowing the seller to make ammends/refund or otherwise solve the issue in the first place. Of course if you see any feedback that says "Item not received, no refund, no communication," this is cause for concern. I'm just saying, don't be surprised if a seller with 10-20K feedback has a small amount of negatives. It's almost impossible to mitigate when selling in such quantity.

Almost forgot to mention, give their DSRs a quick glance as well. (Detailed Seller Ratings) These are generally a great way to check out a seller with one look. Specifically: Item as Described, Communication, and Shipping Time. High scores in these areas mean they are quite legitimate and work hard to make the buyer happy.

3.) Like Scarrey mentioned, e-cigs and supplies are not allowed on eBay, period. I've bought Kanthal and silica on eBay, but these items are multi-purpose and quite different than buying an MVP 2.0 which is specifically for vaping. Buy e-cigs at your own risk. Honestly though you can find good deals at reputable vendors, so check around, cause chances are somebody is selling the exact same product within $5 of the price you can get it for on eBay.

Legitimate sellers know all these rules and more. They are going to take the time to treat each customer right, send refunds if necessary, and otherwise promote their business/hobby to the best of their ability. Good sellers are not hard to come by, there's PLENTY. Just read their feedback and be very suspicious if they have little or no feedback. If they have a ton of feedback? (Like 10,000+) Don't be surprised if there's some negatives. It happens to the best of them. And if you can always purchase from Top-Rated/Power Sellers before the others, as they are FAR more likely to take each transaction much more seriously and responsibly with well worded and accurate descriptions as well as timely shipping practices.

I went to Ebay and they have MVP V-2 for 48.00 free shipping..........Red Flags started going up in my head, Ebay sellers sell them at 48.00 and everyone else is at 59.00 + ?

Sounds fishy to me, anyone know if this is all on the up and up ?

Thanks, Steve -:2cool:

For the $10 more, I'd go with a supplier that offers some sort of warranty.

Yea wish I got my mvp2 from eBay. I'd have one by now instead of this torture waiting for one from China :(. FT was only $3 cheaper

I'm as cheap as they come but I'm too impatient for that crap. Plus I like to be able to contact a supplier and get a response quickly.

I think the biggest problem with purchasing items like this on Ebay is there is no real recourse if you receive a box of rocks or something other than what you purchased.
Sure, there are many sellers who will want to protect their feedback ratings and are shipping what they sell. The flip side is that if you dispute the charge for some reason, you will likely not get assistance from Ebay or Paypal, and potentially have your accounts locked for not following the ToS.

That alone is reason enough for me to shop elsewhere for my vaping needs.

Just bought an MVP 2 on eBay this week for $48.50 from a seller that has 100% positive feedback (over 1,600), free shipping, and a 14-day return policy. It's perfect - brand new, sealed, with the new "scratch off" serial number that you can check on Innokin's site. Purchased on 10/8, in my hands 10/11. I've used eBay for years and approached this transaction the way I would any other - look at the seller's ratings, date of last sale, other items for sale, etc. If you're not comfortable doing this, then definitely look elsewhere!

Electronic Cigarettes and electronic cigarette accessories sales are not allowed on ebay. People still list them, and people buy them. Any time you buy/sell e-cig supplies on ebay you risk being banned and having your account closed.

The same is true for paypal. Never mention e-cigs in a paypal transaction. If you have to file a claim with paypal, tell them it was for something else.

The problem I am having is why aren't WE banning e-bay? Seriously why give support to a business that shuns us as outlaw renegades? ESPECIALLY UPSETTING IS THE VENDORS OUT HERE THAT FORCE US TO USE PAYPAL, THAT P!$$es me off. We should not do business with either of them, a shopping cart account that takes debit and credit cards is pretty cheap, the one I manage at my workplace is simple. Shame on any PayPal and e-bay store users in the vape community period. It's one thing to have them as an option it's another to have them exclusive of other competitors like shopping cart, visa, bank debit services etc. Heck I have a BitCion account for the giggles of it just to make a statement. Ya my AVATAR shows it's colors once again.

I purchased mine from ebay on the 15th, it arrived today (quick shipping for cali to south florida, first class mail)

Person i purchased from is a top rated seller with 100% positive feedback. They sell tons of stuff, and are now also carrying the iclear 30S and replacement heads. My MVP v2 is legit, has the scratch off number and everything. paid 48.50.

+1

I dont use paypal or fleabay for any of my actual ecig devices, and I have been ordering lots of things lately. I even try to avoid them for things like ribbon and wick. Sometimes it can not be avoided, but I try my very best to not give my money to ebay or paypal since they are an anti(they are actually and anti for several things that are hobbies of mine.)
