i have been looking at ebay lately. there is literally TONS and TONS of vaping supplies for sale there. its a really HUGE market that has fostered there. im really surprise because i thought ebay had banned these products from ebay. i even looked that the list of items allowed/not allowed under tobacco products and sure enough "electronic cigarettes" are listed as a "not allowed" item as per this phttp://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/tobacco.html#whatage. did they change their policy and not update their website or are they simply turning a blind eye to it because they were loosing their behind and potential money on the table. has this market simply grown too much to be ignored? what about juice containing nicotine, are they going to turn a blind eye to that one as well?

They ignore it, simple as that. There is no way they can not know the amount of products sold through them. And almost all of the vendors have some form of the word vape in their name. It's a ridiculous policy but it gives them a certain amount of plausible deniability. E-liquid is another matter and I bet it will not be allowed for quite some time.
I've bought a lot of PV stuff thru ebay. As long as it's available I'll buy and I really don't care about repercussions from ebay to me or their sellers. And, who knows why they'ed make such a stupid decision to ban the items anyhow?

The only thing that is really banned on there is nicotine, so any e-juice (which they still on there) will be 0mg. E-cigs are sold under the guise of "personal vaporizers", which they could have uses for not involving nicotine. [deleted]

The FDA put pressure on Paypal- that's why it wasn't allowed. No clue why it's allowed now. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I still would not mention what you purchased if you have any sort of dispute.

If a member lodges a complaint Ebay uses the ruling to remove that 1 listing and everyone continues on. Even then if carefully worded correctly, the listing will remain and the complainant will get a canned response as to investigation.
Due to Consumer scams and Ebays BS customer protection, I am no longer a seller. A hit on a small honest seller can be to costly and I do need my account for purchasing many times a year. Can't afford to be scammed out of several hundred dollars over a Brick being returned as a defective auto part.(yea, they do that)

Under "what are the guidelines?" click on "Tobacco and tobacco related items", you'll see Electronic cigarettes (ecigs) and components are in the 'not allowed' category. ---> Tobacco policy
You're missing the point tho. Who's to say what someone is doing w/ a "650mah Ego CE4". It could theoretically have uses that don't involve nicotine or e-juice. So in that case, is it still an "e-cig"? Technically no, it's nothing more than a "personal vaporizer". I'll say it again, there is nothing illegal about buying gear on e-bay, and you won't get in trouble. It is specifically nicotine that is banned on ebay and paypal.
I tried to search before I listed on ebay and didn't find anything against their rules....So I put my items up for sale.....it even freakin sold and then Ebay removed my listing saying it went against their rules and posted a link to a page that listed restricted items for sale and stopped payment from the buyer....
so yes it is not allowed to sell ecig products of any kind, mods, juice, accessories.
They then had the nerve to send me a survey about my removal....so I told them, first off the lot sold but then you took it down and stopped the payment. I searched for TOS/AUP before posting didn't find it and there's hundreds of other ecigs being listed and sold and you even have a category for smoking cessation.
So just be aware that yes it is not allowed so do so at your own risk of listing being removed and possibly losing you account.

did they ever actually remove all of the ecig components from ebay at one time? i think this market has become way to large to ignore. if they enforce their policy they would loose $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ lots and lots of it. i think we are too big to ignore, well in this case we are to big to not ignore. there is a ton of money in this industry now.
It's because you made mention of "E-cig" somewhere. If you sold it as a "personal vaporizer" there would have been NO problem. There are literally 1000's sold on there every day, of all kinds, mods, accessories and all - trust me. Yeah, wording can make a big difference. Any child will tell you there is a big difference between saying darn or damn, even if the meaning is about the same. They probably do keyword searches and yours popped. If you don't use the keywords they look for, you don't show up.
In the TOBACCIANA "category under e-cigarettes there are 1,148 items listed..... by LONG TIME sellers. Other "categories' - same results - different and same sellers alike offer their goodies.
The folks from CHINA even sell on E-Bay.
Someone at E-Bay is a vaper and they are high up the ladder I imagine.

I get most of my hardware from there, including my iTaste VV I got a few days ago and runs like a champ.

yeah I saw that as well and thought it was NUTS. then I looked at the selling history of the item, none of the units actually sold for $100. the seller got greedy and must have thought that he could sell at $100. every unit he sold was 17.99 or less. what is he thinking, really at $100 he will sell none. sometimes you have to look at the whole picture
