At ECC ijoy got served some papers for selling clones.

China makes clones, and whatever you think about them, many of them are breaking the law. There are threads hers debating clones and this is not intended to be one.

China also makes their own mods, with their own innovations.

sigelei makes mods that bear their name and do not contain looks ripped off from some other maker.

Yihi dis not clone the Evolve boards. They are, IMHO, better. The Evolve board will fire even if it can't do what you told it, a bug, but the Yihi does not. Yihi will produce a voltage under the battery and Evolve dos not.

Even Cloupor has moved on from ripping off Hana and has new mods that are not intended to be clones.

People say it's not a direct clone but the idea came from xxxx. The original device that used a heated element to vaporize a liquid came from China. So ALL of the stuff we use can trace it's way back to China.

I like the vape from my Fogger V4.1 better than from my Russian. Both real mods and I could buy one of them when I wanted and spend considerably less and have a glass tank that did not crack when I used a juice I like.

Many of the drippers, the real ones, are hard to tell apart without the logos. Build one in China, without copying the logos, and let me decide which one I want and how money, for me, comes into it.

You might not be able to get a mod with the nemasis engraving for $20 but you will be able to get a tube with a better button for $20.

I welcome the additional creativity this will open up when China realizes they do not have to copy to sell to the rest of the world.

did reading OP give anyone else a headache?? so what are you actually trying to talk about OP? and you DO know this is going to turn into clone vs authentic evven tho its not intended to right?

Did not really get the complete gist of the post. Perhaps, there wasn't one.

I really don't want to talk about clones. I want to talk about what happens if clones go away.

We all know China can produce a close copy of anything that can be produced in any other country. The Nemesis clone for example.

We also know that China can produce vapiing gear of it's own. The Sigelei 20 watt mod with the Yihi board for example.

I would like to see China do more original stuff and see some of their ideas.

I want to see them build a tube mod and call it the Adrasteia, another name for Nemesis, use a better button and sell it for $20.

I want to see a small shop in Springfield build a tube mod with a nice button and sell it for $200.

I want to see Ralph, from wherever, build a mod and sell it for a reasonable price.

I want to be able to decide for myself If I want the Adrasteia for $20, the Nemesis for $200, or a Ralph for whatever he charges.

When China builds a copy of the Ralph mod I want them to have their own engraving and name. I want to decide if I want the Ralph for what he charges for it or I want the copy by Hcigar for what they charge.

If Ralph comes up with some entirely new thing in vaping and patents it I want the world to let him profit from it for a while. And if his defining feature is that he paints it red then I want to see the red copy at a lower price.

For those of you that didn't make it through the OPs second post it went something like this.

I really don't want to talk about clones

...talks about clones...

I'm just yanking your chain OP - the thing is, no matter what the intention of the post and no matter how narrow the focus of the original comments, they all end up the same way.
