Someone has posted the answer to the 'where' part of your question - but to answer your '&/or how many until' part, I posted my 'guess' - ie, and you get to figure out when you think the 10 mil post will show up on ECF and post your guess here - fair enough? haha

And yeah, a huge THANK YOU to the pioneers who first assembled this remarkable, magnificently managed and indispensable forum not so very long ago. Can't imagine having succeeded at this project without it, and I know that's true for what's become a rather vast membership here. HUZZAH!!

I predict that when there is 5,000 or so left that there will be a massive increase in the number of posts per minute, I'ld say at least 3 times as many as normal.
As a result I believe that we will see the magic number hit sometime this evening, perhaps maybe tomorrow...
However I did have a thought, sure I'ld like to win as much as anyone but if I were to win I would want it to be on a fair basis, with that thought it seems like there should be a rule that you can't win just by making lots of single word/symbol or single line posts!!!
Obviously I am not in charge & have no place making rules but perhaps its okay to make a suggestion? It just seems like it would be unfair if someone won by swamping the board with a lot of pointless posts (except for a chance of winning said contest) that contribute nothing to ECF or the original thread the are posted in...
So what say you? Does that seem fair to you guys or does it sound like I am making a fuss about nothing important?

If it wasn't for people swamping the board with useless posts to win contests, there would probably only be 5 million posts.
Wouldn't this all hinge on the mods deleting some posts and threads? Of course I know this happens with likes when they delete something like a whole thread on grammar...I'm not complaining by the way just sayin'

Like I said I have no place making any rules, its just a suggestion... I'm new here I have no clue about such practices that may have inflated post numbers...
Incidentally the thought did cross my mind, how will you know who posts the 10,000,000th post? Do you actually have a way to identify each post in the order its in or have you written some kind of special code to identify the 10,000,000th post? Or something all together different I haven't thought of?
