My 3-year term at ECF has come to an end and I'm moving on. Its been a great ride, and, as is true for many of us here, it's changed my life. When I came to ECF three years ago I'd never heard of an ecig. A confirmed smoker, I had no intention of giving up or switching to an alternative. Hah - well ecigs got me in the end...

Smokey Joe is taking over now and I hope you will all give him the same support you gave me.

I may stay on as a mod, who knows. Depends on how tough the Forum Manager is on me

Many thanks to SJ for a whole bunch of things; the same to the wonderful ECF crew who keep this place going; and to all of you who help make this place what it is. If the rest of the guys don't get their revenge on me by banning me now that I don't have the power (Spaky has been waiting years for this day), I guess I'll see you around.

You've done some great things here, Roly: been a calm voice of reason and "kept your head when all around you were losing theirs." You've given thoughtful, well-reasoned advice and avoided just reactingwhen you had plenty of motivating factors to make you do otherwise. You've probably extended the lives of a huge number of people with the work you've done here - mine among them. I hope you take a lot of satisfaction from this experience - you've damned well earned the right. Thanks for everything, mate.

As being one of forefather of a place where people can come and voice their concerns, opinions, ideas, and assist others. I applaud you, and what you have helped mold and create. Sure there have been bumps along the way. You've shown that you are human by admitting when you were wrong (I think), and have stood solidly by what you believed to be right for all concerned. I personally would like to thank you for the time and effort you have applied to this forum.
