ECF offline for a few minutes

We are going offline for up to 30 minutes soon - about 1:30am Thursday night / Friday am.

They are changing out the hamsters in one of the servers apparently, and putting in a new wheel and faster hamsters.

Yea I noticed that I tried to access the forum earlier today and got fatal error message but site was back up in 10 mins

i think i lost one of my favorite features but realize the servers might be less stressed without it.

i navigate mostly through ''my posts'' and before you switched out the hamsters going to a thread with unread posts and then hitting the back button on my mouse gave me a refreshed version of ''my posts'' - i.e. the thread i just came from no longer showed any unread posts. this very convenient feature seems to be gone now ................... sigh
is there hope or do i need to adjust once again?

Seems the hit back and auto-refresh when it goes back isn't auto-refreshing. Not sure if that's intentional or not Tibs, but I've raised the flag about it so we can get an answer (I relied on it too on all pages when going back). I, or someone, will advise.

It seems faster for me, but it might be my lousy internet connection. I was having problems with it being very slow before.

Technically, that is a really interesting issue, because it requires a different server code response, a 304-not modified instead of the usual HTTP Request return of 200-OK (request accepted, new page being served).
