I've never heard of it do I don't know.. But it says it comes with a hybrid cap. I'll bet money he was using that, and an rda that wasn't compatible. How is the venting on this mod?

Yes agree ... Batteries should be banned ... At least for people with an IQ lower below their age

Government can't shut down a complete market. The problem is, batteries are so common people take them for granted.

Just last week, my father put a watch battery in his pocket while he was at work, come home to find it exploded and leaked all over his front pocket because keys shorted it.

If it comes down to how things are handles, ban batteries? Ban knifes for all the chefs who injured themselfs cooking for people at an establishment.

To clarify on the phantom, it comes with the hybrid top and the 510 connection top.

Adequate for a slow release, not for a runaway (not that anything would be.) Four holes in the button, vents around the bottom. You can blow through it, with or without battery installed. (I just checked when you asked.)

My phantom does not have the knurling around the top cap like that. The tank appears to be some kind of Aspire product, but I can't tell which.

I think the knurling is from the tank and it fell off during the explosion. The power button also is sticking out not flush, maybe it's a clone? Or also broke.

its an aspire atlantis 2 with a recessed 510 connection on the hybrid topcap phantom. the knurled portion is the bottom of the tank.

Dug up my Phantom box. Mine is official Wotofo, with the authentication sticker and certificate. TUrns out both it does come with a hybrid top cap and I didn't throw it away. Mine is stainless and, in a quick review pf Wotofo's site and several retailers, I did not see one in that Tiffany blue, or with a knurled top cap. If it is a real Wotofo, that's the top cap with the pin, as it is noticeably thicker than the faux hybrid one. I bet clone.

I really wish this kid, or his parents since they were letting him use it, had found ECF. I have read on here from day one the problems with sticking an atomizer with a recessed connection on top of a hybrid styled mechanical. The atlantis 2, have one sitting here in the pif drawer, has a recessed connection. The phantom, which is in the Beat Em Up Drawer, has a hybrid style connection and a 510 connection.

Guess what combo was obvious NOT to try?

Yeah that's what I thought. Usually it's hybrid mods with non compatible tanks that people have these issues with. You have to know what you're doing when using unregulated mods.
