Hi!
This my first week of quitting smoking and using an ecig instead. I have done a TON of research over the last few days, so allow me to "brain-dump" some of it.
Like you, I wanted something that would taste the same as the cigarrettes I was using prior because I thought it would make it easier to transition. So when I bought my Ego, I bought a Marlboro tasting liquid as I was smoking a pack a day of Marlboro Reds. I also picked up a rasberry, lemonade, and menthol flavor, just to try some different flavors.
To be honest, after the first day, I REALLY preferred the raspberry over the Marlboro flavor. The best way I can describe it is it is like smoking a fruit soda or kool aid, rather than that tobacco taste. But you still get your nicotine, so you don't want to smoke regular cigarettes.
I ended up mixing some raspberry with the lemonade, which is AMAZING(raspberry lemonade), but I am starting to run low on both and so I do a couple drops of the Marlboro, sometimes with a drop of the menthol to make the other last(On a different atomizer so I don't mix the fruit and tobacco flavors! Very important!).
That said, everyone is different, but just try to keep an open mind. Ecigs can replace smoking, and you can get the same-ish taste, but you are not limited to those(rather unpleasant) flavors anymore. Really, I think my brain was associating the good feelings from nicoteine with the flavor, and the flavor started to taste good becuase of that. Ever quit/try to quit and then smoke that first "relapse" cigarette? HORRIBLE taste, right?
So try a variety, some people love tastes that others hate, and the power of your ecig can REALLY change the taste of the same liquid. A liquid at high power(hotter) can taste better or worse at a lower power.
So, yeah. Hope that helps, coming from a newbie.
