For me personally I just use what the maker of the device recomends. Which is usually AW brand. If they back their warranty by using the battery I'll go with their suggestion. :2c:

While usually good practice if you're in the know, this isn't always good advice. Think of how many "Starter Kits" are sold with garbage batteries and crap chargers. An impressionable noob might get the wrong idea that their "blue" IMR is the best for their new APV.

AW is a Chinese distributor that re-brands Panasonic cells. They don't actually make anything.
Panasonics from Japan are considered the best. Chinese made cells like
Ultrafires, Trustfires, and other Chinese brands are considerably lower quality.
And usually massively exaggerate the batteries rating.
Lots of reading all over the net.

AW pulls batteries from much more sources than just Panasonic. Panasonic (or it's sibling Sanyo) doesn't even make half the sizes in the AW product list. But that doesnt detract that AW is a great choice in batteries.

Just talking 18650 as per topic
Plus, people can go right for Panasonic instead of some middle man.
With a pretty red wrapper.

im asking about efest batts because i have two aw imr and after 1 month of daily usage, one of the aw imr is not working anymore, the other one loses its volts very fast.

You had a similar issue with your Panasonics from the post above this one. I believe you are doing something wrong with the batteries. All the batteries mentioned in this thread so far are good batts and should last for about 300 charge cycles if they are taken care of. I don't know what PV you are using. Make sure the voltage when you go to charge them is not below about 3.3. VV PV's will typically shutdown by then, but your PV might not be functioning correctly. I try to take mine out at about 3.5 volts. Make sure when you take the batts off the charger the voltage is no higher than 4.2. Chargers will stop charging at that voltage, but again there might be a problem with your charger. Batteries also do not like heat.

You will need a multi-meter for these checks. I paid about $15 for mine from ebay and it's just fine.

Hello,

The difference in pricing between these two batteries are double. Efest is cheaper, AW IMR is priced double the Efest. Which is better? And is there a significant difference between those two brands?

Efest are very good batteries, but if they seem to be too cheap be suspicious. There's a lot of cheap cells being re-wrapped and sold as name brand ones, and even concerns that ICR batteries are being re-wrapped and sold as IMR batteries.

Do some research and find out where the cells are coming from. This is more important than the brand that *appears* to be on the wrapper or the price you paid for them.

Amazon.com: 4pcs Panasonic CGR18650CH 3.6 Volt Li-ion shipping free 18650 Battery 2250 mAh: Everything Else

At least somebody here knows the truth. I've gotten a few good laughs reading this thread.

Panasonic makes the AW's the fanboys like for their Provaris. If its got Panasonics own name on it buy it, lesser performing cells are available for other name companies to buy in bulk.

Love the response with one person "claiming" to vape 6 mills a day and get 50 hours of battery life out of one battery.

Wear your hip boots.......it got pretty deep. The bulls had the "runs"
:laugh::facepalm::vapor:

You better hang onto those batteries as there is something wrong with them. That is insane battery life not the normal. 14 hours is the max I have every got for that amount of juice

I'm not lying I vape two tanks a day of my mt3 and change my battery out of my provari at 48 to 50 hrs
