wizard1000 thanks for replying. So being that the Kgo is hotter, does that mean it should work better with LR or DCCs?

Theoretically yes, but I've never vaped a Leo and cartomizer design is a big variable in these things.

If you put a 510 carto on both a KGO and a Leo the KGO would win, but all I can really tell you is the KGO is the better battery and will drive an identical LR carto harder than the Leo will.

I know that doesn't help a lot, but I'd rather tell you I didn't know than shoot my mouth off and have you spend money when I didn't know what I was talking about. Maybe someone who's familiar with the Leo can help?

wizard, yeah maybe someone familiar with both will chime in.

My present battery, the V2, like the Kgo, starts off the charger at 4.2, and then goes to 3.7, so they're probably not much different except for battery life. I thought I'd read the Kgo performs well with the LR or DCCs, but, I've been told to NOT use a LR or DCC with my V2, rather use a 2.6-2.8 ohm single coil carto. This is really confusing if the volts are basically the same. Unless of course the Mah has something to do with that. Anyone have any insight into this?

My bad then, as it must have been the V1 I saw that measured 3.7v off the charger. I'm happy to be corrected ;)

Almost all vendors say not to use LR devices on MOSFET-driven batteries like the Leo, eGo or *Go but almost all of us do it anyway. Some people claim that it shortens the battery's lifecycle and I understand when the eGo first came out using a LR device on it was a Bad Thing but now joyetech themselves make LR atomizers for eGo devices.

There's a whole Leo forum up top - maybe poking around in there will tell you whether you can use LR stuff on a Leo battery.

LOL, oh no I wasn't correcting you, V2 is a battery brand, (V2cigs). It's a skinny KR808 type battery, and I'm thinking of switching to something else for better battery life and better flavor.

:D

I'm with you now - I was thinking there was a first and second revision of the Leo. I remember now that the V2 is a battery in and of itself :D

Sorry to go off discussion topic but O dear LORD!!! I just got my Igo kit from d&b gold (crazy fast shipping!) and an order from KBV on the same DAY and am vaping myself silly!! WHAT an improvement over the KR808 setup (although it got me off analogs so I shouldn't knock it too much!!)
One month off the analogs yesterday and now that I have such great gear I can't imagine ever going back!! Seriously loving this!

Actually I had the v2 kit as well & then added a couple of other KR808 batteries (V4L and G6).
This actually feels much cooler, I suspect because your mouth is further away from the heat source. It also feels cooler in my hand but I think I am taking fewer puffs because they are much fuller and satisfying draws (you don't have to work for it) & thus the device isn't heating up. It's manual but I had a couple of manual batts before so it isn't bothering me at all. I got the bigger battery which doesn't easily slip into a pocket so I see myself still using the KR808s in public. The big shiny device would look a little odd walking down the street (at least for me). I will admit I have ordered an Echo for the car and my office (I'm a solo practitioner so there isn't anyone to care!). The Igo will be my "at home" device.
I was thinking "I really wish I hadn't wasted the $$ on those KR808s" but, in retrospect, they had their place. I may have been a little intimidated by this thing at first. The little batts got me comfortable with the whole battery/carto set-up, refilling carts, etc. and now I'm delighted with the upgrade and see this & hopefully the Echo being my "until I quit vaping whenever that happens" devices.

Must be something wrong with the carto. I've never heard of anyone having that type of problem. Have you tried any others?

I have 4 more, but this one is still going and I've got it tight enough so it is harder to come loose. I just have to be careful re-tightening it. On another note, I would prefer a different tip than what came with it. Mine kind of "spits" every now and then when I'm taking a drag. I think its only because the opening is a small slot and would stop doing that if the opening was larger. But other than that, the ECHO is very good. :thumb:

Thanks BILLB! I'll do that. I use round drip tips on my Go-gos and they are right for me, but of course won't fit the ECHO. I'll google the "dse801" to find some. Thanks again. I also use the Boge Leo with DC LR cartos. Those cartos have a whistle tip, but they are very large in comparison. The slot is very large and that must be enough to prevent the "spitting".

Thanks Annakat, I think your comments have driven me more toward the Igo. I was worried about the heat, but everyone sure does seem to love them. Do you find the flavor to be better? Are you using the cartos that came with them, or something you already had?

The flavor is amazing. I'm using the cartos that came with it and filling with a syringe (super easy). So pleased to not be topping off all the time and constantly swapping out batteries on the charger throughout the evening! The flavors are so much more intense I just went and ordered 30 ml bottles of my faves for the first time! I am also definitely hitting it less. I had the Kr808 in my hand almost all the time. The Igo I am picking up for one or two draws and then putting it down. I can see why people drop nic levels with these. I'm currently at 12 mg and may end up going down (at least for the evenings).

I just ordered my Igo! So excited. I got 2 tanks, drip tips, and extra cones. I got the 650s, unless he lets me get one 1300 and one 650. That might not be possible though. So happy to hear how good the flavor is with these. My juices are zero to 12mg, and I think I'll be re-ordering in 6mg since hearing that from more than one person.

I'm glad you are liking the Echo too. The 801 drip tips work real good with them and does prevent the condensation build up.:2cool:
