I prefer the VZ ones (well the new batch at least) for the fact they last longer than overnight. Seemed the old ones would be good for a few hours then while I was asleep the cartomizer gremlins would come out and take a steaming hot sour demon crap in them. I'm sure a lot of people check for this in the morning but I wasn't aware that they were real and would be greeted with a mouthful of wet taco style fart flavored gremlin fecal matter in my mouth. Anyways, I digress...

I actually came here just now to ask if anyone is familiar with a Kgo friendly button protector on the market? I seem to recal seeing something like that months ago but can't remember where?

 I assume that you're talking about the new batches from MadVapes with the taste problem. If not, please correct me.

I still have quite a few of the originals from MadVapes. I haven't tried any of the newer ones from MadVapes with so many reported problems. I tried the previous batches from VapingZone, and those were overall good except that they wouldn't screw all the way on. I understand that current batches shipping from VapingZone have this problem and other reported problems solved. I've got 5 EMDCCs from smoktek that I'm currently testing. Overall, I'd have to say that I can't tell any difference between the smoktek and the original EMDCCs from MadVapes and that includes overall outstanding performance. I don't have the tools or equipment to tell for sure, but I think that the EMDCCs from smoktek are identical to the original EMDCCs from MadVapes. For now, I don't plan to purchase any more just for testing, so my next purchase will be close to when I run out of cartos. I'll keep reading reviews, but my next purchase will probably be from SmokTek.

I ordered some of these, they should work, though you might have to cut them down. No idea what they are made of, will know in a day or two.

JOYE EGO DRIP TIP CYLINDER TYPE B 5 PACK

Well they are DELRIN. They obviously are roundish, but not as offensive as the black rubber baby bottle tips. Kind of pawn-shaped. Very good drip tip, works on EMDCC and type B eGo gear. Big fat pipe down the middle. Hard to mistake for a teat, even in the dark. Voila.

OK, I'm sick of my SMOK EMDCC, it's starting to taste nondescript and mushy. Time to try another. The first one lasted I think 8 weeks in rotation. No complaints. But it's 1.7 Ohms, and you'd better decide if you want to do that to an eGo battery, if you care if it smokes, 'cause it has a mezzo mezzo chance of smokin', especially if you like to hold down the button. I kind o' take it easy, short drags work with this canon anyway.

From the time I heard of EMDCC's and first tried them, I pretty much switched over to them. I get them from madvapes. They always say SMOK Dual Coil, which I would assume is smoktek. I haven't had any that didn't work well or that tasted bad.

When I first started with them, I tried rotating them once a week, washing the old ones out, but I didn't have much luck with that, and when they don't work well, you waste a lot of juice finding out. So now I just buy new ones. $2.79 and they last me 7-10 days, that's not bad. I clean the old ones and put them in an emergency backup box, but I hope to never use them.

I was completely sold on these cartos (got my from VZ about a month ago) until now. Had been using 2 of them in rotation for around 3 weeks and decided to start a new one. I was afraid I would fill one of the old ones up with juice and then it would go bad on me so thats why I started a new one.

Well, the new one isn't working so great. Really tight draw and flavor is lacking, vapor is soso. I'm trying to use up most of the juice I put it in before pitching it tho which has not been easy. I guess thats my biggest complaint, if you fill it up with juice and its no good, not only are you out a carto but you're out a fair bit of juice as well.

Not ready to give up on them yet but this will cause me to finally give a carto tank a try. I really like the simplicity of the EMDCCs tho, so easy to use and when they work, they're amazing.

You can get a bad carto anywhere...it happens. Thankfully it's just $3 and some juice instead of a real sum of money. Hope the rest work out better for ya'!

@wool, try the Echo-e single coil. It's 2 to 2.5 ml, which is plenty, it's 2.5 ohms, easy on the battery. It's a horizontal coil design, you cannot burn it, the vapor is very good, the flavor is maybe less than a perfect EMDCC, it's the horizontal vs. Vertical coil issue. Both these big cartos are interesting, so the Echo-e are an alternative to consider.

It happens once in a while for sure. I used to throw away 2 packs of butts a day so I can deal with a bad 3 dollar carto once in a while

Might do that Fernand, thanks for the suggestion. I do realize that I'll have a dud from time to time, I can accept that. I was just concerned that I got lucky with the first 2 and the duds would out number the good ones as others have complained this isn't all that uncommon. I hate wasting good juice.Right now I'm using a tank with a LR carto. Its very nice but I do hate the syringe fill and I don't feel as comfortable slipping it into my pocket and climbing on and off the tractor with it as I do with the EMDCC. Of course now its coat weather so I can put it in my coat pocket rather than my jeans pocket, that helps!

What's driving me nuts now is all the cartos lying around half way through their lifespan, they're not spankin fresh, and they're not dead. I'm losing track of which is which. If I didn't use a scale, I wouldn't even know which ones are how full. And I can't really tell which flavor is which either. Are we supposed to put tags on e'm with complete field notes?

@Wool, one thing I really like about the Echo-e is that you can't burn 'em. So even if you are confused and vape it dry, it's OK.

I only vape a couple of DIY flavors and use tanks now but what I used to do to keep flavors straight was attach the carto to the juice bottle with a rubber band.

I have been labeling all my vaping stuff and stuff I sell in classies :p I must look ocd when I send stuff out with all the little baggies, labels and bubble wrap. Better sorry than safe err safe than sorry. Ya kno, I like to kill two stones with one bird :vapor:

They're pretty good, think it might be laser printed. Theres no running of ink just a little fading after a week of use. I only have the paper labels that came with it, they also sell higher quality plastic (7 bux each), metal, and clear. so far the paper labels have been to my satisfaction (@ 2 for 6 and change). Not quite sure what u mean about flat or raised, they're definitely flat tho.

Well... all the EMDCC that were too hard of a draw to vape are now much, much easier and there's vapor like I've never seen before with any carto (also with the EPDCC) and I didn't even clean them! :w00t: I bought a Go-go to 510 adapter and 510 to 510 shortie adapter and I'm using them on my newer Go-go battery and it's truly awesome! I'm not sure what makes these batteries perform so well but they way out perform the VV eGo batteries at 4.2v. I'm sure glad I didn't toss the "bad" EMDCC. I can't imagine how a new one or even a cleaned one will vape.:banana::banana:

EMDCC's have been my main vape for a while, just ordered 10 more from madvapes :)

Sometimes I use it on an ego adapter when I want a stiff draw, then on a 510-510 for a nice and easy draw.

I'll bet they work great on that Darwin even if they might look a little weird ;)
