Dear zogu!
Have you ever tried copper soldering wire as a mash to bind the wick? I have some suspicions about the copper that it can react with the juice :(
I have one dead atomizer from my ego (not tank), its cartridges with a sponge(I don't know how to call to these type of atomizers). Can I use this one to get some mesh out of it? Do you have any idea about it?

I tried because i have it, and I'm still alive :) I soaked it in alcohol before use. It even didn't change color after few days, copper is also used for different kinds of pots. But i will use stainless steel, i want to order it soon. Mash from old attys is perfect if you have it, and i believe that mash from Zulufs link is even better.

Dear shaka and zogu,
Thanks a lot for your replies. I will try first to unmount the mesh from my dead atomizer. If I fail then I will go for copper soldering wire.
Do you know any simple way to take the mesh out from my dead atomizer?

P.S. : I am still using my ego-t without a mesh on the wick :) It still works perfect. Is there any disadvantages to use it like this?

Purpose of mesh is just to keep fiber threads together.
If you put in your needle plate fiber of proper length and thickness(without mesh), it will work just fine - only problem is that you will have to make new one every time you open atomizer for washing and cleaning.
Is it possible to use the sponge from ego cartridges instead of this fiber? Do you have any idea about this?

P.S. : I finally took a lot of mesh out of my dead ego atomizer :toast:

Nuts! Everything was going well until I tried putting the wick back in. My mesh started crumbling.

Better luck next time I guess

Dear EmmaJo, the same thing happened to me also. I wrote here about this problem and finally I solved the issue by taking out some mesh from a dead atomizer and using it to bind the wick fibers together. You can try this method or there are some places to order some mesh as I heard in this thread.

NO, it must be a fiber. Shaka wrote somewhere here, there is a fiber wick at Heaven Gifts, it is few dolars with shipping, I received mine few days ago, now i don't need mash ;)
Dear zogu,
What kind of wick is it? Is it the same as the original ready to plug into the atomizer? Can you give an exact link of the product?

Do you read what people write to you? You asked 2 days ago, and got answer 2 hours later.

Yeah, it is great to hear that they sell these fibers. But you said that you did not need mesh anymore if I understood correctly. Why? In any case you need a piece of mesh to bind the fibers together.
You can use thread to put it in place, and after that hole in wick holder will be enough. Just remove thread when you put it in place. You don't need mash at all.

Shaka (zbogom brus li? ) I think that he is afraid how to put it/bind it together (chrys you can confirm it?), this wick is like alive, very difficult for doing anything with it. Many times I wanted to throw my e-cig thru the window because of similar problems.
