I've never tried the ego or riva
But I heartily recommend the Hello 016
It's 1300mah and I think the price is the same

I've been using mine to death for two months using 510 and KR atomizers, cartomizers, etc... and I love the thing.
Plus it's 1300mah instead of 650/750 ego/riva ... And it's more than those mega ones, too ... they're 1000

Some people tell me that they like the airflow of their ego better and I haven't tried one so might want to just do this: TRY 'EM ALL :D

Basically if you get the Riva, then you would need to spend the 10$ you saved on some Joye atomizers. It's really all about the atomizers when you are talking about satisfactino from an ecig. Also, the Hello 016 is awesome also..but it would be ALOT better if it didn't have the cone atomizer. I use the hello016, don't get me wrong, but I admit it looks kinda wierd when you have a regular atomizer on there, but the battery is just totally awesome :)

I think it's important (at least for me) not to see the e-cig as a single device.. To me I have

1. Batteries
2. Atomizers / Cartomizers
3. Nicotine liquid

I never think of it as having a certain name of e-cig .. When someone asks me about it in person, I make it sound very simple (cause it is) and say .. well you just buy this battery, a box of these cartomizers for ten bucks and some juice for it .. I say yeah the battery is only 20 bucks and these are ten, no big deal and they say ohhhhh really and are all amazed

I can't believe they're still selling Hello016 kits with that stupid cone atomizer!!!
I bought my Hello016 from DigitalCiggz.com and got a Joye 510 atomizer with it..
The kit was $35 and batteries were $18 but they don't have them because they tell me they're waiting to reorder them because there's a new version coming out that they want to carry :( Keep an eye on their site because they had the best prices in the world!!

This is what I would recommend to anyone new to vaping (admittedly not having ANY experience with ego/riva)

1. Hello016 Battery ($20-$22)
2. 510 to KR808D-1 adapter (so you can use either thread) $3
3. Joye 510 Atomizer ($10 or less)
4. Joye 510 LR Atomizer ($10 or less)
5. Cartomizers.. 510 E2, KR808D-1 Box of each $20
6. E-Liquid from trusted manufacturer.. Several flavors $30-$50
7. Oh and of course a charger $10

This way you get to try an LR atomizer, a regular atomizer, the different types of cartos... Everyone seems to prefer (end up with) a different one of those three.. You'll be staying right around $100 big ones and get A-LOT of bang for your buck. That $100 will be likely to replace alot more than $100 in cigarette purchases, for sure!!

The only drawback to the Hello016 I've heard is that some people prefer the airflow of the other ones.. and you can't put a cone on the Hello016 unless you use those terrible cone atomizers some of them come with. The cheapest price I know of for the kit is here The Better Way To Smoke - Hello 016 Personal Vaporizer, White .. but watch digital ciggz because they had them for $35!!

Anyway if one decides not to go with the hello.. still do the rest, get you a 510 to KR adapter and box of the different kinds of cartomizers, get a regular 510 and an LR 510, try them all out because everyone likes a different one (and I like to alternate)

An ego/riva/hello whatever else with a KR adapter lets you use ANY of the popular atomizers/cartomizers.. it's great

but when you buy it like this, you only get 1 battery, if you get the kit for $50 you get 2 batts and 2 attys, then spend $10 on cartos (if you want them) then like $20 on juice total of $80 plus you get 2 complete e-cigs, so you have 1 when the other is charging.

That is what I did when Digitalciggz.com had the kit for $35 and batteries for $18.. I do just that, use one battery all day, swap them out when I go to sleep and I NEVER have a dead battery. I sure wish they still had the $35 kit. It came with TWO REAL Joye 510 atomizers, the charger and some other stuff all for $35!!

The only caveat to your plan is, if you buy a Hello016 kit and it comes with those cone atomizers - you'll probably hate 'em :(

That's a none Joye eGo, not that there is anything wrong with that, just pointing it out.

The latest hello model, I think it is a called UNC, is a 1300mAh and comes with the standard 510 style atomizer. I have a pre-production model that is a very nice device (steel with a brass button enclosure rather than the plastic of the UNC/Riva and a strange cone that seems to be magnetic rather than screw on).
