Vapenw's price came down a bit, add the 4th of July 20% off code and not a bad deal at $31.99.

Found my first issue with this. I've been using the NotchCoil on TC (32W/210-220C), all smooth sailin'. On thursday I finally decided to give the external tank a try, just for the sake of trying it, and it was ok.

Took the "extension/bridge" out and put the regular cap back on, and since then I've been hitting the "Temp Protection" really really fast (3 seconds). I'm pretty sure I hadn't been hitting it that fast in the past two weeks.

Now I bumped it up to 260C, and it lasts a bit longer but it also hits TempProtection and feels like it just stops warming up.

I'm not sure if the extension post had something to do with it, or if that was just a coincidence. Any ideas?

Probably a bad resistance reading on the initial coil reading. Double check you are in correct material mode. Remove coil press fire reinstall. See it it reads coil resistance correctly this time. Make sure coil at room temp when you do it.

If that doesn't work try the reset button at the base of the unit to simulate a battery pull while the coil is out of the unit and try again.

I've been using the Notch coil and i gotta say, I'm impressed with how long this coil is lasting. I think i may want to get some more of these. I tried out another Clapton the other night and that one wasn't hitting as good as the original one. Not sure if my juice is too thick or if the coils are inconsistent. But ya..where can i get some Notch coils cheap and how do you clean them?

Ordered mine here. Using them under TC you will find they can last up to 10x longer unless you are using a sweet or very dark juice so cleaning becomes moot but you can disassemble the coil, dry burn, & re-wick as in the video.

FYI, if you are tired of the incessant spitting of Egrip2/Cubis/AIO & want to use an anti spit drip tip like the Aromamizer Drip Tip I use I see Fasttech is selling a clone of the Aromamizer v1 called the Vanilla Styled RTA & they carry the drip tips separately as well.

Tempting, I haven't had big issues with that (except when the tank is totally full), but it might be nice.
I with they had a white one to match my eGrip. I might need to buy a black one or a stainless steel one so it matches. xD
Thanks!
Be careful with the black one on clones from fasttech. I have seen issues with the quality of the paint some of the clone factories use and I wouldn't want to see chemicals leaching out of the paint into your juice or paint flaking off into your mouth.

I'd feel a hell of a lot more comfortable with the Stainless Steel Version than the colored one!

Got a success story here kids. I hooked up my sister's fiance with the eGrip II to try out until he could pick up an AIO (he wanted something with cartridges like the Juul but we don't have them in Canada). He liked it so much, especially the custom logos, so he went and bought a silver one locally. $119CAD. Ouch!

Oh boy. I knew I should have just grabbed my old Egrip OLED and the iStick today. Went to the pool with my friends, got drunk, and guess what happened?? I dropped my Egrip 2 into the pool again. Actually, it was knocked off a table that was in the pool. Luckily, I was able to grab it pretty quickly. I immediately tried to suck the water out of the charging port and vent holes, then let it sit out in the sun to dry. After 10 minutes, I checked on it and it wasn't doing anything. =(

20 minutes later, I checked again and everything seemed fine. The LED screen was on and it was flickering a little, but it was vaping and seemed to be ok. An hour later, I noticed the screen wasn't working anymore but the device was still vaping. The light in the tank was turning on and while I couldn't see the settings, I could tell the temp control was still working. I'm hoping the screen comes back on after some time. Ugh. Water is not my friend. I'll leave it in a bag of rice tonight, hope the screen comes back on. It's been way too soon since my last mod being destroyed to have another one face the same fate.

Vapenw still has the 20% (20%off4thJuly) off the $39.99 Egrip II which make them $31.99ea. You better buy 2 more the way you are going. They are out of gold & white, but still have silver, black & red.

I got two egrip II & a cubis tank for $75.18 total so I could qualify for free shipping.

I got my 2 egrip 2s today from vapenw. I have only opened and used one of them so far. I'm tring the notch coil first. This thing spits bad. I wish I wouldn't have bought a 5 pack of these coils. The battery life is also pretty bad. Also does anyone else's mod get really hot if you chain vape for a couple minutes? BTW I think if your order is $75 before the 20% coupon is applied at vapenw you will still get free shipping. I got 2 egrip 2s and a 5 pack of notch coils for $71.19.

Use the Black drip tip that came with it to control the spit back. Here is were you can order a stainless steel ASB drip tip. With those drip tips you cannot beat the notch coil under Temp Control.
