Anyone know a US supplier for the nano?

I went back to Eciggity* for mine, same as the full size.
For the original, they were the only (domestic) game in town. That may have changed.

* Yes, Hawaii is still in the U.S. Trump hasn't had an opportunity to sell it off.

I love my Bachelor, its a great tank but... The Merlin... Its better than the Bachelor. Had to be said... The flavor is every bit as good if not better, super easy to build and wick and it has more airflow wide open. Loving it!

Hey all, I just got the Bachelor in the mail today. I did re coil and wick this with my own build. (28g came out to 2.2ohm, I know it's a tad high I usually run at 1.5ohm but I'll fix that on the next build) I like the ease of the build deck and after trial and error no more leaking. But I have one major problem. I am getting a very bad taste, I washed it twice soaking it in soap in water for 3 hours. but that taste is still there. Has anyone else have this problem. I ordered from fasttech, and it's supposed to be authentic. security code check says it is.

Had that once with another tank. A quick soak in vodka got rid of it.

Are you sure it isn't your juice?

Not sure what you're coming from but in my limited experience the Bachelor can produce a lot of flavor which often is good, but it also can bring flavors to the foreground you may not have noticed before hence make your juice taste different then you're used to.

Just a thought.

No I don't think it's my juice. I've used the same juice in my Kangertech with the rba section and it tastes just like butterscotch in that. To describe this taste I'm getting... It's almost like a rubbery taste to it. As soon as the tank is empty I"m going to try washing it again with some of the above suggestions. (yes vodka for drinking, but a little for the tank wont hurt...lol) It may be just traces of machine oil I"m tasting too... I want to love this tank over all it's performing quite well. (it's just that funky taste) No leeks present this morning when I woke up.

Ah, I had the rubbery taste as well in the beginning, I'm pretty sure it comes from the o-rings. Did you remove the o-rings before cleaning and let them soak with the other parts? The first time I cleaned mine I just left the o-rings in place during the soak in hot soapy water and that didn't do it. So I repeated it with the o-rings removed and that fixed it for me. Didn't take long neither, maybe half an hour or so.

But just FYI, & your millage may vary of course, but the same juice in the Bachelor tastes much much richer than in my Kanger Toptank. I don't even use my Toptank anymore because it tastes so disappointing now that I'm used to the Bachelor.

Ok So here's the verdict. After taking the tank totally apart again and a quick soaking it in (don't laugh it's what I had on hand. lol ) some Bacardi and washed in dawn dish soap after. Remade my coil only had 28g a1 on hand. 3mm diam 6 wraps If I remember right. had to space the it to get the leads to reach the holes, coil ohms are at 1.6. Changed my liquid to my home made cinnamon bun 30pg/70vg. (that's what I have in my Kangertech, 1.6ohm contact coil in there) I vape that at 15w. I must say I do think that funky taste is gone or going away. Either that the cinnamon is covering it up. It's good though. Still very airy for me. I like MTL. So my next is to get a lower gauge wire, Or I might try to add alittle more cotton in the juice well to tighten up the draw a bit more. I did put a smaller diam drip tip on, that helps alittle. (closing up the air valve all the way is just to much resistance)

@OhTheAgony I actually get the deeper flavor from my Kangertech. I don't know if it's because the airflow is tighter and I just havn't found that happy spot yet on the Bachelor. Or if it's because I have a contact coil in the Kanger.

I'm sure after trial and error I'll get the right coil build in this. :)

Ehpro has a MTL kit.

The MTL kit is for the Nano only, the regular Bachelor doesn't have a threaded air inlet-hole.

@Sue1971

The difference is probably in the build itself mostly. I'm around 0,4ohm myself and only use coils of two wires twisted together, it really adds to the flavor ime. But I have barely any experience with Kanthal so I wouldn't know what thickness to suggest. I'd suggest trying a bigger coil first, like 9 or 10 wraps or so. That coils looks a little puny for the Bachelor imo.

And have you tried opening the airflow just a little? Try making a hole that's smaller then a complete circle if that makes any sense.

Good luck, & enjoy!

@OhTheAgony I'll be ordering lower gauge wire this week. I only have 28g and 32g. I'm not a subohmer But I like to build my own coils. (using kanthal) I like my coil builds to be around 1.5, the coil in the pic is with 28g 6wraps 3mm diam. From what I'm noticing on the build deck. is the more full the space is (bigger coils) the more tighter the draw is. At least that's what I noticed in youtube reviews. I didn't see anyone put a build in above 1.0ohms. Also I did go and put a small piece of cotton on one side of the coil to fill up the space a bit, it does seem to stiffen up the air draw a bit. Over all this is a nice tank. Still a learning curve. I did noticed too after I opened it up to take a pic of the coil I am getting a bit of leakage. not sure if my wick got messed up or maybe the pressure change in the tank caused it.. But closing up the juice valve to just a sliver is slowing the leak down.. We'll see what happends on the next fill up... :)

Ah yes, I forgot that would require using the nano base on the bachelor (which can also be done if you want more air flow). Doubles its cost but if you love it and want either more or less air flow......

Yeah, I tried a Kanthal coil at 0,5ohm once and it was a pretty nasty experience, even at only 7 or 8 watts it was still very harsh so I can see why you wouldn't want to do that.

A similar resistance with titanium in TC mode is a very nice smooth vape though. Technically I'm still sub-ohming but I suspect it's more like vaping at 1,5ohm and a low wattage with Kanthal at the temps I'm at (215C or 420F usually).

So I re-wicked my Nano (I'm still on the very first build, lol) today and removed the plugs while I was at it. Nano unplugged, lol

So far so good, I'll let you guys know if that changes.
